THIRTY SIX

Answering the call from the knocker, Avelyn immediately rolled out of her comfortable bed and left the fashion magazine still wide open on her bed. The call came from the butler at Elvis's mansion. Just five days ago Elvis had told her that Magda was the butler of his mansion. No wonder at that time Avelyn often saw Magda hanging around. Even that woman was the first to greet her very kindly when she woke up in a strange place that is now her home.

"It’s time for lunch, ma’am," said Magda politely.

Avelyn glanced at the clock on her wall and only then realized that she had spent hours rolling around on the bed.

"I'll come down later." Avelyn replied uncertainly.

She feels that she doesn't need lunch because she often skips lunch when she has breakfast in the morning. But she deliberately didn't say that in front of Magda so as not to offend the kind servant. "Thanks for the reminder me, Magda."

"It is my duty, ma’am. Then excuse me."
