MasukLola’s POV
“She’s going to rot in jail” Peter Goldman spat to the media who were clamoring in front of him. He was pushed inside the house after and I waited for him until he got to my side. Together, we both gazed at the television, watching Regina who had just being arrested as she tried to escape the country. Peter turned to me. “Thank you for saving my life” he said with gratitude heavy in his eyes. A smile formed on my face slowly. “We were both victims of bad spouses. It’s the least I could do” After watching the video, I had contacted him to inform him about the poison. Knowing Regina, it wasn’t a poison that would kill at once. It would be something slow to end Peter’s life so she could take his wealth after playing the dutiful wife for a while. “I owe you a big favor.” Peter said. “Tell me whatever you want, I will make it happen” I shook my head. Not now, but very soon. “Why don’t you take care of your health first?” I told him, and with a little nod, I walked out of the room. - I walked into the house, the one I once called my matrimonial home. As I walked in, the whole place was dark and a little cold. I moved to switch on the lights and was almost startled by Isaac who was sitting on the floor in the middle of the sitting room. Empty bottles were carelessly placed around him and a glass was in his hands. He has lost everything now. The company has removed him as the president and he has also lost his shares after Regina sold them in her revenge against him. All that’s left of the mighty Isaac Jacob was just the piece sitting pitifully on the floor. The moment he saw me, he scurry up to his feet and rushed at me. I couldn’t avoid him as he threw himself on me. I wanted to push him away but stopped. His breaths felt too hard, like he was struggling to breathe. “Get off” I told him. He held me tighter. “Lola, I’m sorry” he cried. I heaved and clutched my hands. There was no way I’m letting myself soften for a man like him. He didn’t deserve it. I told myself. Isaac moved and stared into my eyes, he leaned down, to kiss me but I recoil. He didn’t fight it, rather he rested his head against my chest. “Forgive me, Lola. I’m truly sorry now” he whispered again. I scoffed, weakly. I had imagined this scene from the moment I found out he was cheating on me. The moment when he would come crushing and beg me on his knees. Seeing him now, my heart aches a little. After all, I have truly loved him and cared for him. When he saw that I still didn’t push away, he grabbed my hands and squeezes it gently. “Let’s go back to how it was before any of these happened” he said barefacedly. My face twisted in a hard frown. “Go back? You mean now that you’ve lost everything?” I asked him. Isaac exhaled. “With you by my side, I could climb back up again” he let out again shamelessly. I chuckled, quietly at first, but then louder. He watched me, conflicted for a second. I moved to the sofa, holding my stomach as I laugh hard. A bitter laugh. I can’t believe he would be selfish till the end. He moved closer, obviously not ready to give up. “Please, Lola. Just this once, help me” he pleaded. After a moment, I nodded. “Fine.” I stated. “I will help you” Isaac’s face light up instantly, he pulled me into another hug. My eyes remained expressionless, I moved my hands and hugged him back. Just a little affection to make him lose his guard. Whatever game you’re playing dear husband, I’m going to beat you at it. - I stared at the dress that Isaac had brought for me. A hip high slits cut red dress, too provocative for a formal meeting. Isaac appeared behind me and planted a kiss on my shoulder. “Are you ready for tonight?” he asked. I forced a smile to hid the repulsive feeling that rose inside of me as his lips touched my body. I turned to him. “Are you sure this dress is alright for meeting such important guest?” I asked, with false concern plastered on my face. Isaac smiled, the poisonous one he has used to fool me for years. “Of course. You know I have good taste” he said. I almost burst into a laugh, but I managed to keep a smile instead. “Okay.” I picked the dress. “After this, you sign the divorce papers” I reminded. He nodded with a hard smile that I pretended not to see. Before I walked into the closet room, I dropped my phone already on record.Lola’s POVA wave of silence swept through the enormous arena as the lights dimmed and the announcer called the next designer. My name echoed across the world best stage. For a second, I simply stood behind the curtail, my heart beat hard against my ribs. The music began, and the first model stepped onto the runway. One after another, my designs filled the runway, and I stared carefully at the audience who watched in complete silence. The cameras clicked endlessly, I inhaled telling myself that was a good sign. When the final music note changed, the curtains parted again. This time, I walked out. The last piece was mine to show off. The gown hugged my body before flaring dramatically from the thighs down. It was a deep wine-red dress, covered in delicate bead-work that shimmered like scattered stars. The off-shoulder neckline framed my collarbones, while the long flowing train followed behind me.This was my reborn dress, a new me. I stopped at the center of the runway, the lig
Third person POVIsaac stood before the gathered reporters, his face pale and strained as cameras flashed around him. “My wife is inside this hotel with Nicholas Foster” he said, his voice trembling with what appeared to be hurt. The reporters exchanged startled looks. “I’m telling you the truth” he continued, swallowing hard. “Come with me and see for yourselves”He turned and hurried toward the hotel entrance with the media following closely behind. When they reached the room, Isaac pulled the door open quickly. He rushed inside, ready to give a show, but the room was empty. His expression froze instantly. With a panicked face, he ran further inside, his eyes darting around the room. His breathing became heavier as he realized the two are no longer there. The reporters followed after him. ‘Where are they. Mr. Jacob?” they asked impatiently. Isaac didn’t answer. He searched frantically, like the two would appear from the walls. His face drained of color after he had check
Lola’s POVTogether, we walked into the private suite. I had my hair packed up in a knot-twist bun. My lipstick was lightly applied and my purse was held firmly by her side. I already have Anabel on the stand by to call the police in case anything happens that I couldn’t control. We entered the room and waited for the guest to arrive. While waiting, Isaac offered me a drink and I pretended to take a sip while he watched. After a moment, the door opened again and I lifted my head to see who the important guest was, expecting some old perverted man, but instead Nicholas Foster was standing there. I couldn’t hide my shock, my eyes widened and frowned at the same time. I clenched my jaw as I glared at him. What on earth is he doing here? Before I could understand, Isaac stood up. “Mr. Foster, I’ve brought my wife to you like you asked” he said.My eyes flashed to him. That scumbag.I was too infuriated. I got up fast, ready to lash out, but I was suddenly forced back with a migrai

Lola's POVAs I watched Isaac pick Whitney up, a smile curved the side of my lips. Soon, my phone chimes of a text message from Whitney.‘Golden palace, room 2098’I didn’t hesitate to forward the text to Regina, a slow mischievous smirk invades my face. Now, all I have to do is wait for the drama.Isaac Jacob, do not blame me for being cruel, you were cruel to me first. I put my phone back in my purse and relaxed my back on the ride back to the hotel.-Third person’s POVIsaac dragged Whitney along as he pushed open the door to the hotel room with a sharp curse already on his lips. Whitney managed to free herself as they stepped inside, letting out a little gasp. She turned a glare at him. “What the fuck were you doing with my wife?” Isaac demanded, his voice hard with anger.Whitney blinked.“You think I went there on purpose? I only found out afterward” she said with a hiss. Isaac raked a hand through his hair, pacing once before turning back to her. “You need to quit” he ord
Lola’s POVI booked a table at the restaurant for some team bonding. After a moment, Whitney stood up and went to the bathroom. I waited for a moment before I stood up and also went into the bathroom. I pushed the door open and stepped inside. Whitney was standing in front of the mirror, carefully applying a fresh coat of lipstick. The moment our eyes met through the reflection, she froze, the lipstick trembled slightly in her hand. For a second, neither of us spoke. I closed the door the door behind me and walked toward her slowly, my heels clicking softly against the marble floor. A smile curved my lips, she lowered the lipstick, swallowing nervously. I stopped beside her and gently took the lipstick from her fingers. “It’s uneven” I said calmly.I turned her slightly toward the mirror end and with deliberate slowness, I applied the lipstick to her lips. The color spread smoothly and bold against her young face. “There” I murmured. “Much better”Whitney’s breathing became sh
