I am supposed to enjoy this.
I usually enjoyed it in the past whenever Melissa and I were together. But here I laid on my back as she rode me yet, my mind was not here. She had noticed and took both my hands which she guided carefully around her waist but I still was not having it. I was lost in my own world and suddenly she stopped. It took me a couple of seconds to notice that she had stopped humping me as I turned to face her but being careful to avoid her eyes and its glare.
"What? Why did you stop?" I asked her, sounding less concerned about it.
"Is something wrong?" She asked as she searched my face for answers.
"No. Of course not, babe. It's football training today. It was really tough on me but let's not stop now." I said to her and I needed no one to point out to me, the hollow in my voice.
She got off instead as she turned over and started to wear her underwear. I lifted myself as I made support with my elbow.
"You're leaving?"
"Yes. You're clearly not interested and we have school in two hours. I should go get ready." She said as she dragged over her jeans.
"Aww, come on babe." I said to her,
She turned to face me with a smile on her face that did not reach her eyes. Then she came over to kiss me on the forehead before pulling her top from underneath me. I watched as she quickly put it over her head and in a few minutes, she was done.
"See you, babe." She said to me as she made her way out my door.
The moment she left, I laid back on my bed as I stared at the ceiling. It was all seeping from the night of the school welcoming party when I had rejected Clara openly as my mate. Seeing her looking broken apart left a hollow in my chest that bore through my heart like a torn. She had been so pitiable and I had to break her apart which had led to a number of negative things happening these days to her.
She had accepted the fact that I had rejected her and had not come to question me over my decision as she went on with her life.
But her life had changed drastically as she was no longer being bullied by just Melissa and her cronies. It would turn out to seem that the entire school had decided to make sport of her predicament, as she suggested unprecedented bullying at the hands of everyone.
Day in and day out at school, I was forced to watch on as people made fun of Clara, with Melissa standing firmly behind as the lead perpetrator of all of these onslaughts.
Perhaps I should explain. I didn't reject Clara out of hatred or contempt. I actually had better reasons as to why I had made that decision.
Being an Alpha of one of the strongest packs was not something one would survive without the support of their members of the pack, especially one of the strongest families. My family and Melissa's had been in a long term friendship and I needed her as my Luna because her father's support mattered.
Countering Beta Benson now by picking a traitor over his daughter, was more or less like I was instigating a coup in their hearts against my family, which was definitely not something that I wanted. I would not be the reason for the ruin of my own family hence, I decided to relinquish my bond with Clara for a brighter future.
I got out of bed eventually as it was nearly time for school. I hurriedly made my way out riding on my motorbike. I arrived just in time to witness Melissa and her friends sprinkling saw dust all over Clara's hair. The latter sat down on the floor as everyone laughed to their hearts fill.
The moment they noticed my presence made it seem auspicious as they all went silent but I already knew my stance. I went over and kissed Melissa on the lips amidst cheers. I could not do anything as I watched Clara sob from her pain.
Sometimes I wondered if she ever tried to stand up for herself or would she always be this weakling.
Classes ran on until it was time for combat classes and we all went to the hall where we had our practice.
"Now everyone, listen up!!! I shouldn't be here but would be standing in as a substitute." The teacher said to us and we glanced at each other in confusion.
"A substitute? Whatever does that mean?" I asked to speak for everyone as we were quite used to our teacher.
"I'm going away on a sabbatical but there has been arranged a guest professor that would be taking you to combat class when I am gone. He should have been here today but for some reason, he is running late." He said to us.
"Who's this professor? Is he someone we know?" Another student asked right before I spoke.
"You'll see him in a week but I expect you treat him with respect as you do with me. Now, you all should pair up and let us begin." He said.
Instantly, everyone ran over to their friends but no one approached Clara. I was about to go over when I stopped myself. Melissa was already coming to her and demanded that she be paired with Clara.
I saw their plan the moment her friends came over to stand beside them and Melissa looked up at me. I could see clearly that this was all in bid to get a reaction from me. This was going to be Melissa's way of ascertaining why I had been aloof earlier that morning.
It all began the moment the teacher explained what we should do before rushing out to attend to something. Right there, Melissa and her friends started beating Clara. I stood there watching and doing nothing to stop them.
Each time when Melissa looked up at me to check my reaction, I had an encouraging smile for her which pleased her even more.
CHAPTER 135 CLARA'S POV "What's happening? I'm seeing you..." I heard my own words voiced out in amazement. The moon goddess simply stood there and would not make a move. It was then I looked up at her and noticed that she looked sad still in the eyes. Oh well, so much for wishful thinking. "You still do not get the point, Clara." She said to me, "What point? That I should not even be allowed to see my father? That's a huge point you made." I looked at her spitefully. "No, child and trust me, you're beginning to test me." She responded. "Of course. You're the moon goddess and as a pawn in your games, I shall only shut up and take it all like a champ. No complaints, eh?" I said to her, jutting out my jaw stubbornly. "You're really something, Clara Silver. You try to get on my nerves but I find you amusing." She responded. "Of course. Every blind wolf out there is amusing. No complaints." I responded. I saw her bite down hard as she could before approaching me. Perhaps, my ton
CLARA'S POVIt was quite...Oddly so.I had been hoping that Arlene would at the very least try and check on us but I never saw him. There was no sign of him and neither was there any of Derrick.Fear gripped me as I found myself wondering if everything was okay with him (Derrick).I needed someone to talk to.I needed to share my fears right now but Derrick was nowhere to be found."Clara, you need to rest." I heard Clover say to me."Oh, Clover! I feel so alone and lost." I said with a sigh. That was the honest truth. I felt bitter and really worked up right now but was there anything I could do?I doubt so."You'll be fine." She responded."I don't even know where Derrick is. I'm so worried. Are you not worried? What if the vamps took him?" I asked her.She let out a long drawn exhale."I am worried too, Clara. But even more than Derrick, I am worried about you. You're hurting and you have a lot on your shoulder." She said to me,"You shouldn't worry one bit about me. I'll be fine
CLARA'S POVI felt really excited as I caught onto the scent of the man that had been once announced dead. My dear father and I knew now that I had never been able to forget his scent. It was just as I remembered, so different yet so great."Dad." I called him as I traced to a standing position, where his head was."Who are you? Why do you call me father? I'm yet to find myself a woman." He said to me suddenly and I felt shattered."Father, you don't remember me?" I asked him as tears formed in my eyes. How could he do this to me? It might have been a long time but I who had lost him at eight had not forgotten him. Yet, he had such effrontery to forget me in such a short while."Come now girl, I don't know who you are. I believe I had a crush at my pack but we were just kids before I lost my way." He said to me, breaking my heart further."I'm your daughter. I'm your baby." I said to him,"How old are you then because you look so old." He said to me,"I'm only eighteen." I said to him
ALPHA DERRICK'S POV"What about him?" Randall asked as he nudged his jaw towards Kent who was still knocked out and tied up.I looked at him inquisitively before responding."The vampire said to follow him. We would follow him. You bring the boy."I said to him."Why do I get to do the hard stuff? You knocked him out, don't you think it is part of your responsibility now to..." He was still speaking when I cast him. "Fine. You don't need to look at me like I'll be next. I'll bring him." He sighed heavily as he went to Kent. Trust Randall to always make a show of how angry he gets. He made certain to land a kick to Kent's butt before struggling to pick him up while grumbling."Alpha Derrick, walk with me." Arlene said to me.Well, I guess he was back to his twelve year old vampire mode. To think a few minutes ago, this adorable looking young boy had been so intense with his glare that I nearly forgot how to breathe. I would recommend that anyone picking a fight with him should have mad
BETA BENSON'S POVI have been waiting at the pack house for this good news.Alright, bad guy here and I totally agree but you would have done the same to have some aspects of relevance attached to your name. This has always been my game plan.It is too bad I have not had the chance to introduce myself properly but I am the one who's supposed to be leading this pack.I had a strung out rivalry with Todd Silver and it was not a thing today. It was an old strife, maybe one he was not sure had such strong genesis.Could we say I always hated him and his guts from the moment my childhood dream girl had developed a friendship with him when Todd was newly transferred to our school.Everyone was all over him. He slowly took over everything and seemed like he was the saint of our time. It did not make any sense and when I tried to talk him into joining us, he had turned me down.He wanted nothing to do with my silly games and made me feel the first insult of my life. I overlooked him and decid
ALPHA DERRICK'S POV"Clara!" I called out to her as she fell off my arms.Clara sure did know how to get everyone on the edge. Right here in the vampire territory which we had encountered and she was clearly unfazed. She had suddenly left my arms to the ground and was sniffing her way further deep.I have never seen anything like that in my life. The way she moved faster and sniffed around, it was something from the human sniffing dogs.I wanted to go after her but a couple of vampires deterred me as they hissed right into our faces."Clara!" Grace even called out to her but I doubt she could hear either of us.I glared at Arlene, especially when a vampire seemed to want to threaten Clara."Arlene, are you going to let them hurt her? Us? We're not harming anyone!" I said to him as my eyes kept following her."Friends, let us all be calm. These ones mean no harm to us. At least, that much I can assure you." Arlene said to the snarling vampires."We cannot trust them in the heart of our
