When is the wedding, husband?

“You have twenty-four hours, let me know what you decide!” That was all I said before Nicole walked away.

I didn’t try to stop or convince her. There was no need to. I knew she would be back, it was only a matter of time.

I went over to the window and watched as she got into her car and zoomed off.

She doesn’t know it yet, but she’s going to marry me and help me get all of my plans sorted.

“Are you sure she will be back?” Don suddenly voiced from behind while I turned around and then smiled gently.

“Of course, she’s still in denial. Once she realizes how deep the betrayal runs, she will be back here, begging to take my offer.” I said firmly as I got into my chair and leaned back.

“I’m off then, call me if anything comes up,” Don said and then left while I just nodded.

Don is my private investigator. He does all the finding, digging, and dirty work.

Being a billionaire heir with many competitors isn’t a child’s play. I’ve made so many enemies than I can count, and that’s where Don comes in. He helps keep them in check.

Will is one of those enemies. He crossed the line when he went for what was mine and then ruined it. I don’t forgive such. I can’t. He has to pay and Nicole is going to help me get that revenge.

She thinks it’s just a coincidence that I ran into her at the hotel last night, but it wasn’t.

I’ve been watching her for a while now. My target was just Will, and I was going to do everything to get him. That changed when I found out about her.

Don had come into my office that afternoon with her pictures, and from the moment I saw her, something in me loosened.

She had an energy around her that just attracted me and made me pity her. She didn’t deserve a man like Will.

Don was able to get her schedule, so the next day, I was present at her meeting. I was sitting at a distance and then watched her display such high intelligence. She wasn’t only beautiful, she was smart and effortlessly took control of the room. Everyone present were high-value people, and she still trumped them all. I knew right there that I wanted her. She was the missing piece in my puzzle. 

Will is nothing but a worthless piece of trash who should never be let close to a woman like Nicole.

However, I couldn’t just go to her and ask her to marry me. Of course, I am Daniel Monroe, the handsome billionaire heir. I can have any woman I want. At the snap of my fingers, they would come running over themselves just to have a piece of me. But with Nicole, I had to be strategic if I wanted my plan to work out.

I got Don on the job to run a deep investigation on her. I needed to know everything about her.

That was when we found out that Will was cheating on her with her best friend. Nicole, being a naive girl and drunk in love, would never believe such accusations without proof.

That was why I was at the hotel. Don was also there to get pictures and videos of the two. The plan was to get those pictures to Nicole and make her do my bidding.

But then, apparently, Don and I weren’t the only ones keeping tabs on Will. Because it was barely two minutes after he arrived, that Nicole also arrived.

She looked so beautiful but behind that pretty face, I saw pain and that was when I realizedshe was also there for the same thing. Seeing the hurt in her eyes, I knew she’d do something rash and ruin my plans. I couldn’t allow that to happen so I rushed after her. I found her just in time before she fell. I held her and steadied her before looking up to see the scene before her.

Will and Kate were shamelessly making out right in front of the room. They didn’t even have the dignity or patience to get into the room.

Nicole was stronger than I thought though, and that made things easy for me. She wasn’t going to confront them or anything. She just wanted to get back to her car and I helped her.

While she got into the car, I slipped my card into her pocket and then left. Well, she thought I did, but I was just around the corner, watching her.

I watched her fight back the tears really hard, but she couldn’t control them. It flooded her face and she kept wiping it off.

At that moment, my heart broke for her. She didn’t deserve such a betrayal, and if Will wasn’t an animal, he wouldn’t hurt her. I made up my mind then to help her. I wasn’t just going to use her to get back at Will, I would help her get revenge and make sure he regrets ever treating her badly for the rest of his miserable life.

I had already set the bait, and it was left for her to take it. After she left, I went home too and anticipated her call but it never came.

I kept checking my phone throughout the night, expecting her number to pop up but it didn’t.

I was going to call Don to come up with another plan when I got her call in the morning.

Once she showed up in the lounge, I knew I had her right where I wanted. Even after she rejected my marriage offer and walked out, I knew she would come back.

She has sacrificed and invested a lot in her relationship and friendship to forgive such betrayal…

An hour later, I was about to go for a meeting when my door opened and Nicole walked in.

“You said twenty-four hours, right? Scratch that! I’ve made my decision already. When is the wedding, husband?” She let out while I smiled…
