Chapter 3

Autor: Noorie
Later that night, my parents had me locked in the dungeon– a precaution they took to protect their favourite daughter’s ceremony from me.

I begged them to take me out, threatened them, and used every possible way to convince them I wasn't interested in Klaid. But they would just not listen.

In the end, I used the sacred power of my wolf and hypnotized the warriors of our pack. They tore the walls of the pack house and shielded me against my own family.

After they rescued me, I called my mate. He immediately sent his warriors in a black SUV, who safely escorted me to the luxurious hotel where I chilled for two days while my parents were busy calculating the damage I caused them.

The day of the mating ceremony finally arrived.

When I appeared on the Moon Goddess Temple wearing that exact custom, high-end white silk gown—the one my fiancé had personally designed—my parents and Mia all lost the color in their faces.

I had no idea they had chosen the same place for their ceremony as well.

A flash of possessive delight surged in Klaid’s eyes, but he quickly masked it, barking at me with a darkened face.

"Katherine, are you wearing that dress just to crash my mating ceremony? How utterly shameless!”

I looked at him like he was a bug on my windshield. "You're flattering yourself, Klaid. I have not come here for your ceremony. Move aside, you're blocking my view of someone actually worth looking at."

Mia rushed over, deliberately tripping over her heavy skirt to make herself look fragile.

"Sister... how could you do this to us? You made our warriors harm each other just because Klaid chose me? And now you are here to ruin our special day?"

"Katherine, you absolute monster!" my father roared, stepping between Mia and Mia. "You ruined our Pack's strength, and now you come here to flaunt some cheap jewelry you probably sold your body for? Return your sister's dress and crawl back to the pack house to beg for forgiveness, or I'll have the guards throw you in the rogue dungeons!"

The surrounding Alphas and Lunas began whispering, casting disgusted looks my way.

"Is that the eldest daughter? To ruin her own pack and spill blood over a man... how shameless."

"Look at how she's dressed. She’s clearly trying to seduce the groom away from her sister."

I let out a cold, melodious laugh that echoed through the hall, cutting through their whispers like a knife.

Klaid’s mother, Luna, looked incredibly uneasy. She had noticed the suffocating, ancient aura radiating from the diamonds on my neck—gems that only a legendary Royal Alpha could possess. "Katherine... where did you get those jewels? Who is backing you?"

Before I could answer, Klaid stepped forward, grabbing my wrist with brute force. "I don't care who she's sleeping with for money! Katherine, you are my rejected mate. You will look at me when I speak to you!"

My parents felt even more humiliated. “Katherine, you even began sleeping your way off just to fight your sister? How shameless!”

“From this day on, we are cutting off our ties with you. We don't have a daughter like you anymore.”

“Very well!” I said, “Then the disaster waiting for this family has nothing to do with me. Everyone, please be my witness. I don't belong to this family or the pack anymore.”

Klaid leaned in, his voice dropping to a venomous whisper. "You think after making a fuss here, you can ruin our ceremony? Six hours from now, when the moon is full, I will mate with Mia. You'll watch me love Mia every single day."

“After that I’ll get even with you!” He snorted.

I didn't flinch. I just smiled, counting down the hours in my head. In six hours, the curse would mutate his DNA, turning him into a weak, furless monstrosity.

"If you're so eager to sprint toward your own execution, Klaid, be my guest," I whispered back. “I just feel pity for your parents.”

“What do you mean, lady Katherine?” Luna Amelia frowned.

“Mia doesn't possess the power of the silver wolf, Luna. She can't save your son.” I said. She almost collapsed listening to this.

“Spread whatever rumors you want to spread about Mia. But, in this life, you have no chance over me. I’ll never mate with you.” Klaid yelled, holding his mother in his hands.

Suddenly, the grand oak doors of the banquet hall were blasted off their hinges, splintering into a thousand pieces.

A heavy, suffocating darkness flooded everyone, so powerful that half the guests instantly collapsed to their knees, gasping for air under the weight of a supreme Alpha pressure.

"A mangy stray like you," the man’s voice vibrated through the very foundations of the building, "is not qualified to touch even a single hair on my Luna's head, let alone dream of forming a mate bond with her.”

Amidst the chaos, a sound cut through the panic. It was a laugh.Mia was laughing—a sharp, melodic, and deeply evil sound that made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. The facade of the heartbroken, loyal lover had completely melted away, replaced by a gaze of pure, unadulterated malice.Alpha Victor slammed his fist onto the ritual altar. "Mia! What is the meaning of this?! You said you loved him unconditionally! You have insulted the Moon Goddess!""Oh, I didn't insult her, Alpha. I just gave her exactly what she wanted: truth," Mia purred, stepping toward the panicked pig and lightly kicking dust into its face. Klaid let out a pathetic squeal, shrinking back. She turned to face the entire assembly, her eyes flashing with a dangerous triumph."You all thought I was pathetic. A desperate girl who would take back a man who mocked her, beat her to death, and treated her like trash just because he was desperate," Mia said, her voice dripping with venom. "Did you really think I lov

The next three months, while the Moonlight pack was busy finding just one person who could love Klaid unconditionally, Dareon and I were roaming the world as he had planned to show me the world’s best views on our honeymoon. The day we returned to our pack happened to be the Grand Moon Worship Festival. Newly mated couples from the entire Kingdom used to visit the event to get the Moon Goddess's blessings. We couldn't ignore it as well. When we finally reached the venue, we got to hear what had happened in the meantime while we were away. There wasn't anything unexpected. Klaid had broken many girl’s hearts and mocked them for their physical features while he was in his prime. Now that he had turned into a laughing stock, it was obvious no girl would want him. They either screamed at him or cursed him for ruining their sight. Heartbroken, Klaid had almost given up. That's when Mia showed up. She said she still loved him. After being confronted by the Alpha Victor, she admitted she

The next day, while Dareon and I were taking a stroll across the lake, Moonlight Pack's warriors surrounded us. They begged us to go with them. Dareon was in the middle of shifting to his wolf to drive these miniones away when I stopped him. “They are only doing their job. There is nothing wrong with visiting Luna Amelia one more time before leaving. Don't you think so?” “I’m not interested in meeting anyone. But-” he stopped in the middle, a sly smile spreading his lips as he continued, “It's fun to watch my half-brother anyway. So, let's go.”The moment we reached Moonlight Pack’s secret den, where Klaid stayed away from the sight of outsiders, Alpha Victor rushed to me. “Katherine! My son has kowtowed to twenty-nine hundred graves. H-he couldn't get up to do the rest. But-” His voice turned hoarse as he helplessly pointed his fingers at Klaid, lying almost unconscious on a cot. “He is still like this! Nothing changed.”“The talk was about 3000 graves,” I said, my voice firm. “On

The moment they heard this, Alpha Victor roared at Mia. “You ate my son!”Klaid had already begun beating Mia while Luna Amelia couldn't stop weeping. She spoke while crying, “Lady Katherine, is there really no way to save Klaid? I can sacrifice my life for my son.”I sighed. “There is indeed one way.”Everyone’s breath hitched while I continued. “Centuries ago, your ancestors had slaughtered the silver Wolves’ pack. Their pack has now become the graveyard of 3000 wolves. If Klaid kowtows to each grave and apologizes for his ancestors’ mistake, perhaps their souls might go soft on him and the curse would be lifted.”The moment Klaid heard this, he yelled angrily. “Katherine, you really are doing this out of revenge! Kowtowing three thousand graves, do you want to see me dead?” “Do it or not. It's on you, Klaid. I just felt bad for Luna. That is why I tell you the cure. But, if you ask me, I like seeing you with Dog’s tale and ears.” Having said that, I grabbed Dareon's hands and said

Watching everyone trying to please me and paying her no attention, Mia couldn't restrain herself. “Why are you all so sure she can save Klaid?” She began, “The fact that she managed to save Dareon can be because he isn't a half-breed. He is half moonlight and half royal wolf. Perhaps, he wasn't even cursed. That is why he is standing normally.”“Katherine and I both have the same wolf. If I can't save Klaid, she can't either.” She snorted only to be kicked by Klaid once again. “Who asked you to open your filthy mouth? You bitch!” He spat. “Katherine can definitely save me. I know it.” Of course, he knew. It was because I had saved him in a past life. He had taken me for granted back then. But now, he had to beg me to get the same result. “Katherine, can we please talk alone?” He requested. Dareon quickly shielded me with sharp eyes. But after I convinced him, he moved out reluctantly. After everyone was out, Klaid sank to his knees. “Katherine, I know you can save me. You did it b

The next day, as I opened our Den’s door to leave, Victor and Amelia surrounded me with tears in their eyes. The moment they saw Dareon standing behind me, they stepped back. Victor hesitated before speaking, “We didn't disturb you last night, Katherine. Can you please come and save my son today?”Luna Amelia sank to her knees and begged, “Katherine, please… You warned us before as well. Please forgive us for not listening to you, and come save my son. I’m begging you.”I had a soft corner for Luna. When everyone was against me, she was the only person who actually took a stand for me. So, I reluctantly agreed to go at least see Klaid once. After all, Dareon and I had been curious to see how he would be looking with a dog's tail and ears.As we reached outside Klaid's den, my gaze drifted to my parents, who were still begging him outside. The moment they saw me standing with Alpha Victor and Luna Amelia, they came up to me, saying excitedly, “Katherine, did you agree to save Klaid?”
