Tcee Eke
Nyra’s POV

Fear flooded Isolde’s face instantly.

“Cassian, let go of me!” she screamed desperately, struggling violently against him. “You’re hurting me!”

But Cassian looked beyond reason now.

His wolf was gone, his title was gone, and whatever humanity remained inside him seemed shattered beyond repair.

The warriors moved cautiously toward him but Cassian suddenly snarled, the sound wild and broken.

“Stay back!”

The entire ceremonial grounds froze.

Isolde’s panic grew instantly.

It wasn't love or pity, just a cold realization that this was the final result of all the destruction they caused together.Cassian laughed suddenly. The sound was hollow and terrifying.“I destroyed the only person who ever truly loved me…” he whispered shakily. His eyes found mine across the chaos again. For one brief moment, I saw the m

  • He Killed My Babies Thirty-Six Times   Chapter 20

Nyra’s POVThe ceremonial grounds fell completely silent the moment Kaelen and I stepped onto the platform together.Hundreds of wolves bowed respectfully.Somewhere near the front, I spotted my mother watching with teary eyes while behind her stood my father.Or perhaps I should stop calling him Father now.He looked older and sadder. But tonight, for once, I didn’t feel rage when I looked at him anymore.Kaelen’s hand settled lightly against my lower back as Elder Rowan stepped forward.“Tonight,” the elder announced loudly, “under the blessing of the Moon Goddess, we witness the union between Alpha Kaelen Blackthorne and Nyra Ashford.”The crowd erupted into cheers. My wolf stirred happily inside me.Mate.Kaelen glanced toward me briefly and somehow the noise around us faded completely. Then Elder Rowan raised the ceremonial blade.“Join hands.”Kaelen reached for me immediately. Warmth exploded through the bond the second our palms touched. The elder sliced the blade carefully acr

  • He Killed My Babies Thirty-Six Times   Chapter 19

Nyra’s POVThe mansion remained quiet long after Isolde was dragged out. But despite the silence, tension still lingered heavily in the air like the storm clouds hanging outside. My mother sat beside me for a while after the guards escorted Isolde away. None of us spoke much afterward. There wasn’t really anything left to say.Too much had happened in such a short time.Eventually, my mother stood slowly.“You should get some rest,” she murmured while brushing her fingers against my hair. “Tomorrow is an important day.”Tomorrow is my mating ceremony with Kaelen. Warmth spread through my chest at the thought. “I’ll see you in the morning, Mom,” I whispered. She smiled faintly before leaving the sitting room quietly. The moment the doors closed behind her, silence settled around me again. Then Kaelen spoke from beside me. “You’re exhausted.”I leaned back against the sofa slowly. “That obvious?”“Yes.”I laughed softly beneath my breath. Kaelen watched me quietly for a moment before sp

  • He Killed My Babies Thirty-Six Times   Chapter 18

Nyra’s POVThe storm followed us home. The mansion stood brightly lit against the stormy darkness but something felt wrong immediately. My stomach tightened. The moment we stepped inside, I heard it. Soft sobbing. My breath caught instantly.“Mom?”I hurried toward the sound without waiting. The sitting room doors were partially open and inside, my mother sat curled on the sofa clutching one of my father’s old jackets tightly against her chest. She looked broken. The sight hit me harder than anything else tonight. For weeks, I had been so consumed by revenge and chaos that I hadn’t stopped long enough to truly process what my father did to her.To us.“Mom…” My voice cracked softly. My mom looked up immediately. The moment she saw me, fresh tears spilled down her face and suddenly I couldn’t hold mine back either.I crossed the room quickly and dropped beside her. Then my mother wrapped her arms around me and completely shattered.“How could he do this to us?” she sobbed brokenly. The

Nyra’s POVBy the fifth vial, the entire territory knew former Alpha Cassian Blackthorne was poisoning himself publicly for me.The whispers followed him everywhere now. Some wolves called him romantic while others called him insane but most simply watched with cruel amusement as the once untouchable Alpha slowly destroyed himself with his own hands.I watched too and somehow it still wasn’t enough. The first few doses barely affected him. Cassian remained standing tall and composed, refusing to show weakness no matter how much pain wolfsbane caused him.But by the tenth vial, things changed. His movements slowed and the scent of his wolf weakened noticeably.Dark circles formed beneath his eyes while his once powerful Alpha aura became unstable.Still, he continued. One vial for one child that he killed. He drank it every single day. The pack began treating him differently after that. Warriors whispered when he passed. Servants avoided eye contact awkwardly. Some Omegas even laughed

  • He Killed My Babies Thirty-Six Times   Chapter 16

Nyra’s POVThe coronation celebration lasted long into the night.Music echoed across the territory while warriors drank around massive bonfires and wolves celebrated the return of the rightful Alpha. But despite the noise surrounding me, my thoughts remained strangely quiet. For the first time in two lifetimes, I felt peaceful.Beside me, Kaelen spoke calmly with several elders while his hand rested loosely against the small of my back. Now and then, I caught wolves staring at us curiously. Some still looked shocked by how quickly everything changed. Others looked relieved. A few looked terrified of Kaelen.Honestly? I couldn’t blame them.Kaelen carried power differently from Cassian. Cassian demanded obedience loudly while Kaelen barely needed to speak for people to listen.“You’re thinking too hard again.”I glanced sideways at him.“When did you become an expert on my habits?”His lips curved faintly. “You make the same expression every time you disappear into your thoughts.”I s
