Se connecterHUNTER POV
Meeting her is damn! She's too cute and fvcking beautiful. Wait! I shouldn't be distracted by her beauty. True to the rumors, she is fvcking close to a goddess beauty, though I haven't really met the goddess yet, but her beauty is like one. She has this strong aura that wraps around her, making her stand out from the crowd. Her aura is almost comparable to an alpha's, but she is still a woman. A weakling, who will submit and depend on me. Not to brag, but all the she-wolves I have met are the needier ones for them to follow all their mates' commands. I don't actually know how to greet her. How to meet her sparkling round eyes that captivated my heart in an instant. I can't focus my mind on the ongoing matter because of her sweet angelic voice. Damn those rosy cheek and cherry lips! Is this the effect of the mate bond? Meeting your mate will instantly spark up the bond. You can feel a surging feeling around your body, electrifying your whole being. The goddess is really creative and genius! It is a way on how we all know that someone is ours. Wait! No! This is not happening. I will not immediately give in to this bond. I have my standards and expectations to uphold, remember! "Hmpf!" my annoyed wolf responded to my thoughts. I ignored him and composed myself. Inhale...exhale...good. I mind-linked the alpha that we need to talk about privately. He obliged with my request, as curiosity is shown on his forehead. He then led me to his office and left my mate standing with a confused look on her face. I sat in one of his office chairs, biting my lower lip as I tried to think out how to present my case to him. He had a confused expression on his face, and I needed to tell him immediately in a way that he wouldn't cut off my head. "I-Uh... your daughter," I stammered a little before straightening up, "Is my mate." I coughed after delivering the final words. I waited a few seconds to hear and watch his reactions, but he appeared more confused than usual. He could be wondering why I'm not glued to her immediately because, in most cases, when mates meet, they are glued to each other instantly. I tightened up a little as I heard my wolf roar at me, inviting me downstairs to kiss and claim our mate. I'll admit that she's lovely and attractive. Her aroma was delectable and enticing. She seemed strong and had the potential to be my luna. For that, I needed to test her first before making my commitment to her and giving her that position. "I-Uh. I can't accept her...yet,"I said slowly, firmly, and a little nervously. "Why is that?" he frowned. "I don't want to have any regrets in the future. My pack come first, and I want to offer them my best luna; I want to know whether she's competent of fulfilling her role." "Crest was raised to be an alpha. If anything, she is more than suited to becoming your luna," He said, giving me a murderous gaze. "Did you raise her to be an Alpha?" "For the sake of the pack's emergency and future, if anything happens to me, I cannot yet hand my son the title because of his age; Crest is more mature than he is, not just in age but also in decision-making." "Isn't that unfair to her? Teach her all she needs to know about being an alpha, but don't give her the title yet?" I scowled. "Don't tell me how to raise my children, Alpha Hunter. There are many things you don't know yet. I'll tell you soon, but I think it's preferable if she's the one who tells you her story, since my daughter is worth more than just being an Alpha or a Luna." I groaned and shook my head; I knew being an Alpha's daughter makes you born powerful, but that wasn't enough for me; I needed to test her and see whether she was suitable to be my luna. "Whether of Alpha blood or not, this doesn't affect my opinion, Alpha Silver. I hope you understand. I'll explain everything to her, and I'll stay for a month or two to get to know her better and evaluate her potential. After a month, I'll tell you and her whether I should accept her." As I saw his knuckles turn white while forming a fist, he appeared to be restraining his wrath. But he's not the only one. My wolf also roared at me. "Alpha Hunter, you have to understand that you are soulmate's first being born to both alpha blood. This isn't fair to my daughter. You have so much to ask of her while she hasn't asked of you. All her life, aside from being strong and training herself to be a kind and good alpha female to this pack, she just wants her mate." Alpha Silver clearly does not grasp my logic. "Yes, that is correct, but this is who I am; please realize that I am not rejecting your daughter; I simply want time to see whether she is ready, fit or not." 'Fit or not?' My wolf frowned,"Are you mad, pup? The Goddess mated you to her for a reason, to be fit with us!' My wolf emphasized as he tried to growl at me again. I just ignored him. "Fine," he snorted, and I could see smoke escaping from his ears. "However, if this 'test and observation' you're talking about is going to harm her sensibilities, then you should consider our alliances revoked." Before returning to the door, I nodded. "How about the heat?" He said, causing me to freeze at the doorway. "You know she'll be in heat in two days now that she had found you." Crap. I pricked the bridge of my nose. Heat is a nuissance. Whoever thought of this heat concept, well, curse it! Wolves are horny enough on their own! 'Oh, so you're just going to let me chase other horny wolves in this pack?' My wolf grunted, stating sarcastically. I mentally rolled my eyes at him. "I'll figure a way." I muttered before exiting his office.CREST POV "I hate to disrupt you two, but the meeting is in an hour, and we still have no idea about how to explain everything," Cromwel said. He was standing by the door frame. He was surprised by what he saw, and he tried to suppress it and just hide it. My mouth fell open saying,"Have you been there the whole time?" "No, of course not. Ha-ha." He laughed oddly, before clearing his throat,"Well? Let's go plan the meeting, shall we?" I let go of my hands away from Hunter's neck and composed myself, unable to respond because I didn't know what to say. "I'll wait for you guys in the office, please sort yourself before going," he added, pointing his index finger to his own face, and specifically circling the mouth, before exiting the area. That's when it hit me, that my lipstick was all over Hunter's face. My lips are sore. I looked at Hunter's, and they were swollen too, but I don't think he was bothered by it. He's smiling. A few moments passed, Hunter went ahead to where hi
CREST POV I hummed happily to the rhythm of the music as I mixed some pancakes in a pan. For some reason, I was happy waking up this morning with the fact I woke up on top of Hunter. I don't really remember much after our little break yesterday that soon drifted me to sleep, but when I woke up this morning, we were still on the sofa of his office, and I am sleeping on top of him, while he wrapped his arms on my body to protect me from falling. "Look who's happy this morning. Good morning Crest." Devin smiled as he greeted me. "Good morning Devin. Breakfast?" "You seemed in a good mood today," he asked. "It's just one of those days," I said as I piled the pancakes onto one plate. "What would you like on your pancakes?" "Honey and strawberry fruits please," he said, yawning. "Coming right up!" I said as I started cutting the strawberries and putting some honey syrup on top of the pancake. "Here you go," I happily extended the plate in front of him as he slowly sat down across t
CREST POV Hunter instantly rushed in front of me half-shifted. His fur is coming out, his canines are already extruded, and his eyes are as black as his hair. We all looked above us. The creature was circling us, showing how majestic his wings that covered almost the entire sky. Then he shouted,"You have three months to surrender to the Sphynx. Offer us what we need at the end of the third month." 'So he's like a messenger,' is what I thought. Hunter growled, ready to leap. "Calm down now Hunter, wolves can't fight in the air," I whispered, and he slowly came to a stop. He breathed heavily before turning to face the crowd. "We will have a pack discussion later today, and everyone must attend so no one will be left uninformed." Some of the crowd nodded and turned away from us, but others eyed me longer than before, as if they were thinking that this was my fault. Hunter growled at them, making them shiver and rushed away from us. "I think you need to call your father. I'm going
CREST POV My heart sank in disappointment. What should I expect? I can't just tell him to ignore the issue so we can continue on doing what we were doing. Yet again, I was hurt a little. 'You should be the one to take the first step,' Twyla commented, with a little disappointment in her tone, 'I should have taken over you,' she added, then curled down and turned her back at me. 'Sorry, wolfie,' I jokingly said to her,'Next time,' 'Hope so,' "Hunter, you go ahead, I'll take a quick refresh first," "No, let's go together. Shower can wait, this, no," I sighed, but agreed. His pack should come first, than my shower. We rushed to the path towards the border where some of the patrols are already engaging themselves with the issue. I had no idea what issue we were having, but most warriors came along with us. "Are you okay?" I asked. "Yes," his one-word reply. I could see his face was serious, and a bit irritated, especially when our moment was interrupted. It was almost dinnerti
CREST POV I was curious as to who that woman was, but I am not yet in the mood for some interrogation, because my focus was on the next path. We turned, then, suddenly, the door locked. Hunter locked the door as if he didn't want anyone to disturb us, only making my heart beat rapidly. "Have a seat," His hand extended, pointing to the bed, and I sat down on it. "I don't want anyone to overhear our conversation, my pack doesn't know yet about the situation, and I don't want them to panic or ask me for answers. Especially when it comes to you and your gift." "But they need to know the truth though for their own safety." I responded. I know what he meant by it. The griffins and sphynx are after me, and once they find out that I am here, they might attack here. "I'm going to tell them that once the rogues' issues are lessened. I don't want them to have another problem at this moment," I sighed,"What are we going to do now? We don't have any idea where the sphynx are." "I am thin
CREST POV I instantly let go of my hand from his grip so he could hug the woman, whom I thought was his mother, based on her appearances that resembled Hunter, but it surprised me when she hugged me instead of him. "Mother, you'll freak her out," She pulled back and cupped my face,"Wow, you're so beautiful, you must have so many men-" "Mom?" Hunter chided, giving me an apologetic look as she pulled away her hands from my face and gave Hunter a quick hug, then turned to me again. "Oh, I'm so sorry sweetie, I am just so excited about meeting you. It's about time Hunter found his mate. I've heard so much about you." "Oh, I hope what you heard was all good," I commented jokingly. She swung her hand and moved closer to my face,"Really good," I smiled warmly,"It's nice to meet you Luna." "Oh, enough with the Luna thing, you're going to be the Luna soon, darling. Just call me Mommy or Mimi. Kidding, I'm Lea." She was a bit fun, and I am kind of confused as to what she really wante
