Bernard didn’t react and looked at Eunice with expressionless eyes. He felt as if it was unbelievable to see her standing right next to him. He was so afraid to even touch her and he thought,
'What if she disappears once again and I can't see her beautiful face ever again?'
He had been wanting to meet her for so many years but now that she is in front of him, he could respond to her properly. All of this seemed like a dream to him. The past when they had stayed separately from each other for so long had never happened.
