Heartbreak

Argh ....

Andien punched the metal guardrail as she shouted angrily.

"I hate you, Kenan. I hate you!"

Andien screamed again while the sea water began to wet parts of her body as she chose to sit on the bridge that people said was called the bridge of love.

It had only been 12 hours since Andien had received Kenan's sacred vows but Andien felt that she was already a widow.

Andien tried to hold back her sobs as the tears continued to flow.

How could she be blind to all the attention given by Kenan all this time? Why did he never listen to Alinda's warnings?

Kenan had never loved her because he had much bigger plans than loving a woman who was the daughter of his enemy.

The sound of footsteps made Andien lift her face. Her eyes were so cold while she was unable to prevent the tears that returned to her pale cheeks.

"Don't act so much, Andien. You don't deserve this," Kenan sneered.

Slowly Andien got up from her seat and stood in a defiant manner.

"You're right, Kenan. It would be a shame if I fell for your cunning plan," Andien said boldly.

"I don't care, darling. Today you are my wife and I am the only one who has the right to you. That is, of course, until Vishnu hands over his entire fortune to me," Kenan said sharply.

Andien shuddered in horror, but she refused to be bullied.

"Shame on you! I can't believe as a man you have no self-respect. You want to be rich? Work! Don't ever take someone else's property!"

Kenan's hand movements were very fast and Andien felt a deep pain as Kenan gripped her upper arm.

"You'd better tell your father because he started first. Vishnu robbed and took all of my parents' wealth and he didn't even hesitate to get rid of his friend's son!" Kenan snapped.

"My father is not a robber! You're just looking for an excuse to justify your actions!" snapped Andien boldly.

"I'm not here to argue with you but to take you in, Andien."

"I won't go with you. Just so you know that I'm going to cancel our wedding."

"Cancel our wedding?"

Andien avoided Kenan's gaze and regretted having told him her plan when he spoke in a threatening voice.

"I wonder if the court will still accept your request after this!"

Andien was still thinking about Kenan's plan until she felt Kenan hug her tightly and force her lips open so that Kenan could touch and taste the depth of Andien's mouth that had seductive red lips.

Andien tried to resist but her strength was already diminished from crying for too long and her body was cold.

Kenan's tight embrace and hard, forceful fondling could not make Andien fall asleep and feel comfortable. Andien continued to rebel and resist until Kenan suddenly became gentle and waited for Andien's reply.

Kenan's momentary change made Andien silent and forget her plan to escape from Kenan's embrace. Her cold body was suddenly hot and Andien lost the game Kenan was playing.

Kenan didn't need a room and a soft bed to get what he wanted and Kenan laughed in triumphant satisfaction as he left Andien in pain and crushed in deep despair.

Once again Andien felt broken and humiliated and she didn't even have the self-respect to stand up to the world.

Andien's eyes flashed as she stared at the waves rolling beneath her. As if to warn Kenan who kept walking, Andien screamed and then threw herself into the water and she had no intention of swimming. All Andien wanted was to be lost forever.

Kenan continued to laugh without any intention of seeing Andien's condition so he didn't know that Andien had disappeared in the water.

The morning sunlight touched Kenan's face through the window he had left open.

"Andien!"

Kenan called Andien while his eyes were still closed.

"Andien!"

Still no sound made Kenan open his eyes and look around the room.

"Where is she?"

Kenan called Andien again, but there was still no answer.

I can't believe she acted so stupidly by sleeping outside."

Kenan couldn't find Andien so his anger grew.

"You have the nerve to leave. You think I'm joking, Andien. I'm going to make your parents suffer. I wonder if you're still hiding to watch your loved ones suffer because you're unwilling to accept punishment on their behalf?"

That day Kenan went to the office and gathered all the evidence and information he could about Vishnu. Kenan didn't expect the greedy man to be so stupid and Kenan laughed sarcastically when he realized that Andien had inherited her father's stupidity.

"Are you sure about your plan?" asked Mark, his friend and lawyer.

"Sure. Why?"

"Now Vishnu is your father-in-law. Do you have the heart to make Andien sad?"

"Why would I care! I don't even know where Andien is now."

"What? What did you do, Kenan?" asked Mark worriedly.

"Nothing. Andien chose to leave so why would I care if she's sad or not?"

"You're not looking for her?"

Kenan's piercing gaze made Mark pause and realize that he had no right to interfere.

However, Mark did not believe that Kenan did not have any feelings for the woman he had married by giving a dowry in a very fantastic amount.

All this time, Mark has followed Kenan's approach to Andien. Mark couldn't even believe it when Kenan said his intentions when Mark asked about Kenan's seriousness to Andien, one of the interns at Kenan's company.

"Are you willing to sacrifice an innocent woman as well as your feelings, Ken?" interrupted Mark.

"Was I guilty when Vishnu made my parents suffer? Andien has even tasted my parents' wealth while as the heir I have to work hard," said Kenan.

Meanwhile, in a different place, a boy screamed in fear and called out to his father who was walking behind him when the boy saw a woman's body face down on a large rock.

"Oh my God. What happened?" the man shouted

"Papa, take her to the hospital. She's badly hurt," the boy advised.

The man quickly examined the body of the woman who was none other than Andien then breathed a sigh of relief when he felt the sign of life on Andien's neck.

The man was Doctor Erlangga and he was taking Keanu for a walk in his spare time.

Erlangga was wondering if he should call the police first or take Andien straight to the hospital when Keanu jerked his shirt.

"Why are you silent? Poor auntie, Pah. She's hurt badly," Keanu told him impatiently.

"You have to call the police first, dear. You can't act rashly," Erlangga explained.

"Papa, call the police later. Now just take her to the hospital," Keanu urged.

Erlangga smiled and went back to check on Andien's condition and decided to take her to the hospital on his back while Keanu walked beside him holding the hem of his shirt.

Sometimes Keanu's age is not in line with his thinking patterns as a child, making Erlangga catch his breath.
