Chapter 33

Emily and Olivia helped Lucius as they walk up from the stairs. Lucius was getting heavy and weak. He tripped over a few treads of the stairs and gladly, they reached the second level of the house. He told them to carry him to Emily’s room where he had concealed the symbols of the door to the underworld.

Emily felt a slight pain from inside her and it must be only the hunger she’s feeling. She hasn’t eaten since last night. She couldn’t stop thinking about living the rest of her life with her mother in normalcy. Now that it’s confirmed, the wish she’s been wishing to come true since it all started is finally becoming true.
