Aziz`s POV

Eren’s voice was sharp with worry, the kind of tone he saved for when he was too angry to yell. He had called over Mr. Mehmet earlier in the car ride back to Uncle Eren`s Antiques botique.

“Mr. Mehmet, this won’t do. We cannot continue to risk their lives like this without proper training. They need to train more, then look for Ipek. Train them until they faint from exhaustion, then train them some more.”

Mehmet didn’t hesitate. His bow was silent, but I saw the dip of his head as he replied.

“Understood.” He then glanced at me sideways, as if to notice if I was satisfied enough or not with his reply.

The old man came straight to Manolya, who was sprawled on the velvety burgundy colored chaise like a broken doll.

His hands worked quickly, pulling bottles and cloths from his kit.

When he poured disinfectant, she moaned and twisted in her sleep.

“Hold her still,” Mehmet ordered.

I set my hand firmly on her shoulder. Her body jerked under my palm, and the wound o

Manolya’s POV Aziz leaned back, sighing. “All I can say is this. Something from that realm has crossed over. But I’m unsure of its motives. It has never attacked you or seemed to be looking for you, so I dropped it when I became too bored.” We ate in silence after that, though my pulse wouldn’t calm. Dish after dish disappeared between us. I ate until I thought I couldn’t anymore, the hollow ache in my stomach finally gone. The meal passed in silence, except for the clatter of plates and the occasional hum from the old woman in the kitchen. I ate until I could no longer ignore how full I was. He watched me finish the last crumb with an expression halfway between amusement and satisfaction. Finally, I found the courage to break the silence. “Thank you… for saving my life. I owe you.” His smirk widened. “Yes. I happen to be a specialist in this area of expertise.” He tapped the side of his temple as if it were obvious. “Remember, a favor for a favor.” A chill slipped down my spi

  • Hellblades   30 - The Detour

Manolya’s POV I thought he would take me back to the palace. That was the logical thing. Instead, I found myself walking beside him on a narrow hiking trail high above the city. Pine needles crunched underfoot, and the scent of resin mixed with the salt of the distant sea. “Where are we going?” I asked, breathless more from nerves than from the climb. “You’ll see,” Aziz said, as if that answered anything. His voice was lazy, careless, yet I knew there was intent behind every step he took. We emerged into a clearing where a tiny village clung to the mountainside. An old stone house had been turned into a restaurant, run by an elderly woman and her daughter. Vines climbed over its whitewashed walls, and a wooden sign with faded paint swung gently in the breeze. He led me straight to a table on the terrace. I sank onto the chair, and my eyes widened at the view. Akyaka stretched below us like something painted by careful hands. The valley lay cradled in green mountains, th

Aziz’s POV Manolya saw it too. She bent down, her fingers trembling as she lifted it. A bracelet, strung with colorful gemstones. Her breath caught. “Quickly, take a picture and send it to Ayla!” Pelin fumbled her phone out, snapped the shot, and sent it. The reply came at once. I could hear the faint ping of her message. “It’s Ipek’s! Where did you find it?” Pelin typed back fast. “At the mill. We will send you the location. Please notify the police immediately. They need to bring the dogs. Ipek is not here, but we found clues.” I clenched my jaw. Clues, yes, but was this not very obvious and sloppy? Whoever left this behind mabe wanted them to find it? I wasn`t sure… Pelin shoved the phone into Manolya’s small black messenger bag and went to the window. She threw it open, leaned out, and shouted with her voice shaking. “We found Ipek’s bracelet! Search the backside! We are coming down now!” The shout made me flinch. Damn these cat ears, always so sensitive! Below, Eren’s

Aziz’s POV I remained outside the palace gate as they disappeared inside. The yellow walls glowed in the sunlight, the pine forest swayed, and the silence pressed on me. I did not belong at their side. My place was here, in the shadows. When they finally emerged, I melted back into the trees. Eren’s car rolled onto the dirt road, carrying Manolya, Pelin, and the twins. I kept pace, my body shifting to the swiftness of the beast. My paws struck the earth like thunder, but no sound carried. The car moved steady, yet I stayed beside it, unseen, a phantom on the roadside. We reached the marina. The engine cut off, doors slammed, and they filed out, laughing softly. I crouched low, slipping into an alley. A trash bin stood against the wall, reeking of salt and fish guts. I slid behind it, yellow eyes glowing faintly through the slats. They chose a table close to the waves. Gulls screamed above the water, and the air filled with the sharp scent of oysters. “Finally food,” Ad

  • Hellblades   26 - Training Begins

Manolya’s POV “It is still so cool!” Adlee’s voice echoed across the chamber. His eyes were wide, his grin boyish. Adem joined him instantly. “I can`t believe it`s not a dream, I want to try everything!” Their excitement cut through the heavy silence, but Mr. Mehmet’s sharp voice killed it at once. “No.” His tone carried authority that silenced them immediately. Gone was the man fumbling with his toothbrush and beads. Now he was a master, radiating control. “You will only train with your hellblades as I said” Adem and Adlee pouted but dared not say a thing Uncle Eren opened the box he had carried in his bag and peeled back the silk cloth. My heart jumped when I saw the blades again: crescents of metal glowing faintly, humming with a strange, dark energy. One by one he handed them to my friends. I sat down slowly on a bench at the side, my legs still weak, my eyes tracing every corner of the room. My throat ached, but curiosity overtook my pain. The weapons looked curious. How
