The whole day Bella refused it eat that it really worried her parents, they really regretted having done this trick on Bella because her reaction on it was much worse than how they had thought she would take it.

Earlier on Elizabeth and Frank had agree to themselves that they would attenuate a certain drug which has similar characteristics as peanut allergy,after all Frank himself was the doctor and he had control over everything,the drug was supposed to induce Kevin to semi comma, and the only thing that they would come up with to tell Bella was that it was peanut, they kind of knew how vigorous Kevin's reaction to peanut would be, and they didn't want to risk it on him, they wanted him safe for Bella.
