7.Meeting Grandfather Fu

"Sir, butler Garry just called, he says your grandfather is at the hospital and is requesting for you now, he says he won't get any treatment if you won't go to see him," Ronnie, Kevin's personal assistant bulged in his office not even with a knock.

Kevin knew his grandfather very well, he'd been asking him to get married now that he was at his late twenties but everytime Kevin has always dismissed him but seems like this old man was adamant to make sure his plan was executed and Kevin knew very well that this old man won't really let him be unless he really got married.

Picking up his jacket, he left the office as Ronnie followed him.

"Sir don't you think this is just another of your grandfathers tricks just to make sure that you get married, I think he has used the same trick severally that it's already very familiar. "

" Don't worry, I know what to do, I just want him to stop pestering me for good," Kevin replied as an evil smirk tugged at the corners of his lips, and Ronnie wasn't a fool to know there was something evil cooking up on his boss's mind.

By the way where is that lady? What was her name again? Bab.. "Ronnie feigned ignorance just to get an answer from Kevin, and it sure did work.

"Ooh Bella, she's at my..." Kevin started but seeing that playful smirk on Ronnie's mouth, he stopped. "Nosy!"

Kevin thundered, feigning anger.

Kevin didn't know what was wrong with him, he had told Lily to tell her to take a day off, and familiarize with her home henceforth, this was so unlike him, he wasn't usually this kind to anyone, only his brother and just a few that were very close to him, and still though not to this extend of allowing slacking off.

"Let's go see what that old man wants,but first I want to pick up something at home," and off they drove.

" Do you need a hand with your clothes?" Lily asked concerned when she entered Bella's room and found a mess on the floor,pile of clothes and shoes, mostly boots, all black.

"No, not really, I'll be okay, and it's not like I got any other things to do," Bella added, but then she remembered she had to be somewhere this morning, she had promised to visit that old man at the hospital, and it was really good that Kevin had given her a day off otherwise she wouldn't have an excuse to take a leave.

With this realization, Bella hurriedly ran to the washroom to clean up, she really couldn't miss meeting that old man, not when she had already promised him.

Breaking the world record for a lady to get prepared, she only took five minutes, her normal time that she always takes everytime she's late for something very important.

"Aunt Lily, I'll be back shortly," Bella declared as she ran off from the door, she had just met the Lily as she was preparing breakfast for her, though it was already this late since Bella had slept on.

Bella ran down the road and she really was lucky to find a cab at the time, this was so uncalled of comparing this was such a private area, consisting of mostly only the influential people in the country, and mostly only private cars were seen in the area.

'Could you please take me to Regal hospital," and since the place wasn't really far away, it just took them a ten minutes ride and they were there already.

"Could you pick me up in exactly twenty minutes," Bella pleaded with the young driver acting all pitiful that he really couldn't resist her despite the fact that he normally doesn't do that.

Bella imitated the knocking sound as she opened the door and entered.

On the bed she found the poor old man that she had met two months ago in the supermarket looking all pitiful on the sick bed.

"Hey grandpa, how have you been, it's really such a long time"

Grandfather Fu just smiled at this lady's innocence, could she just figure it out that he wasn't really any sick, but he decided to play along because he had at first lied to her that he was diabetic.

"Don't worry my sweet daughter, just seeing you already makes me feel better and am really that I didn't attend your graduation as I had promised, that day I really had lot to do, but congratulations anyway."

"Thank you," Bella replied shyly.

" Have you applied for your internship, if not I can recommend you to a good software company, my grandson works there and who knows, he might even take good care of you."

Bella just internally rolled her eyes, she knew this old man's motive, he was always praising his grandson and Bella wasn't such a fool to not realize his intentions, he was trying to play matchmaking for them.

"Don't worry grandpa, I already got somewhere am working, but guess what , am working with the CEO himself, though I have had a clash with him earlier on and at times he act as a jerk, but he's not that bad, so am fine thank you."

"Glad to hear that my sweet granddaughter, but still am very happy that you came, and in the future if you change your mind, don't be afraid to consider my proposal," grandfather Fu added as he looked at butler Garry.

This wasn't exactly the plan, the plan was that both children were supposed to be here, but how comes that stupid grandson of his wasn't still here, he'd give him an earful once he comes he, the old man thought to himself.

"Can I ask you one question Bella?" grandfather asked for the permission, he didn't want to anger her.

"Go on grandfather," Bella replied, anyway she'd really answer anything that he would ask, she didn't mind sharing her life experience with him.

"Do you have a boyfriend," grandfather Fu asked though a little bit shy, if someone was to hear him now, they might really think that he was planning to ask her out, but who knew that he was really asking this for his ungrateful grandson, and just thinking about that brat...he felt a little bit angry, he would really teach him a lesson.

"No, not really, am not seeing anyone at the moment," Bella replied, but then a mischievous glint suddenly crossed her eyes.

"Wait, don't tell me you really want to ask me out, don't do am your granddaughter," Bella lamented widening her eyes in disbelief and when she saw the old man's expression, she smirked.

"N...o! Not rea...lly," the old man fumbled but when he realized that she was just playing with him, they both burst out laughing.

Butler Garry who had gone outside to receive a call was shocked when he heard his master laughing, it's been really many years since he had heard the old man laugh, it should be like ten years ago at the time before he had lost his wife, and since then the old man had always had a cold expression plastered on his poker face, just like his eldest grandson, they really were similar.

When Bella glanced at her watch, she remembered the driver that she had asked to wait for her and since she didn't want to keep him waiting that long, and she also wanted to meet up with Alex, her friend, she quickly bid the old man goodbye, it was too bad she couldn't keep him company for long as she had other tasks to do.

Bella promised to keep in touch with the old man and had also promised to pay him a visit him at his place whenever she get's the chance,since this was the last schedule of the old man appointment with the doctor.

Kevin hurried in to the house, he had thought this very careful and had decided to use that little assistant as his girlfriend at the moment until his old man stops pushing him on getting married, and in case he insists on that, they might even marry contractually, after all many rich guys usually do that, don't they?

Lily, who was all along in Bella's room was surprised to think that Bella was already back, she had not told Kevin of Bella's whereabouts as she had thought that she won't be gone for too long, so she hurriedly arranged the remaining clothes in the closet, and just as she turned the door knob to open the door, it opened from outside as she came face to face with Kevin, who was sweating profusely from running up the stairs.

"Where is she, tell her to get prepared there's a task to be accomplished in the next twenty minutes," Kevin said and turned to leave, to give her some space to be prepared.

"Bella is not in, she just left some few minutes ago, she said she has someone to meet, but she didn't tell where exactly it is and at what time she would be back," Lily explained as she followed Kevin down the stairs.

"Why didn't you tell me then when she left..."Kevin started but was cut short by Lily.

"Don't you remember you had told me you'd be having several meetings during the day and I didn't want to bother you as I didn't think it was that very important," and just like that Lily left for the kitchen, leaving Kevin statued on the leaving room.

"Seems we just have to go by ourself since she's not here," Kevin thought to himself as he entered back in to the car, and off the car sped down the lane to the hospital.

"Stop the car right now!"

Kevin thundered, he had seen a familiar stiletto hugging someone by the roadside.

Ronnie immediately got a hold of the emergency brakes as sweat trickled down his forehead.

He could even feel his back and palm had dampen, he didn't know exactly what he had done for this boss and friend to shout at him like that, but when he looked at the side mirrors, he got a clue of what really was that made Kevin shout like a maniac.

Bella was hugging a certain man, nearly of her age, and it seemed like they had a small talk with that man,based on their lips movement because they couldn't hear them due to the distance, they then hugged again, and as if this wasn't the worst at all, the man pecked her cheeks, and it seemed like Bella had just smiled shyly to him and there after she waved him goodbye and boarded the taxi that was packed by the roadside and the taxi sped away.

Ronnie felt the temperature in the car decreasing by a few degrees, and despite the fact that the car had an air conditioner, he still felt himself shuddering, and he just as he turned around to look at Kevin, the scowl on his face made him shudder again that he immediately shut his mouth , he didn't want to be on the bad side of this man, moreso with his current temperament, without even asking he just started the car and sped of to the hospital.
