Chapter 2

All I see is white.

Pure blinding white.

"Mila Marie Rae. Please, step forward." A loud masculine voice booms around me.

I frown in confusion but do as it says.

"Smile sweet girl. You're much too beautiful to have such a frown." A sweet feminine voice murmurs around me.

A small gasp leaves my lips, as the white begins to vanish and suddenly, I find myself in a gold palace with the three most breath-taking people I have ever seen. Two drop dead gorgeous women and a godlike man.

"Please tell me I have made it to heaven?" I ask in awe, making the women snicker sweetly as the man smiles at me charmingly.

"Some may call it that, but no. This is my temple, and I'm sure you're wondering why you're here?" The women in the middle replies, and I nod my head.

"Yes, but I'm more curious to know who exactly you are." I state with interest.

"You may have heard of me. My name is Aphrodite. Goddess of love, beauty, and desire, and this is my son, Eros. God of sex, lust, and passionate desire. The one who can bring irresistible feelings and impulses with the use of his arrow. He is often referred to as Cupid, but as you can see, he is not like what humans have made him out to be. Lastly, this is my dear friend, Peitho. Goddess of persuasion and seduction." she explains, introducing both herself and the other two sexy individuals.

"This is definitely a dream." I mumble to myself.

"Far from, darling. Just wait and see." The man, Eros, corrects me with a smirk.

They all step towards me and I suck in a sharp breath as Aphrodite steps right in front of me, placing both her delicate hands on my shoulders.

"I hereby gift you with the same love, beauty and desire that flows throughout me, and now into you." Aphrodite murmurs softly, making my eyes widen with confusion.

She presses her lips suddenly against mine before pulling away with a smile.

Before I can question anything, she steps away as Eros steps up and takes her place.

"I hereby gift you with the same sex, lust and passionate desire, that flows throughout me, and now into you." he states, before pressing his lips to mine.

Just as the other two have done, Peitho steps up and repeats the same process.

"I hereby gift you with the same persuasion and seduction, that flows throughout me, and now into you." she repeats, before connecting our lips as well.

As she steps away, they all smile widely at me, and as I open my mouth to finally question them. The world around me suddenly begins to swirl and as the white light begins to appear, my body instantly begins to heat up before everything goes black.

I gasp wildly for breath as my eyes suddenly fly open. I take in the slightly darken sky above me, before attempting to push myself up, only to find I'm too weak to move.

Letting out a small groan, I try again, but with my hands sinking into the sand with each attempt, I simply fail once again.

"Holy shit! You're awake!" I hear a new male voice state, relief and excitement flowing out in his tone.

Within moments, a guy with dirty blonde tousled hair and captivating light brown eyes is hovering over me with a large smile.

"You gave me one hell of a scare! I thought I really lost you! Can I help you sit up?" he says.

"Please." my voice croaks out, making me frown at the sound.

"Where'd that pretty smile go? You can't possibly miss being at the bottom of the sea already." he jokes, and I give him a weak smile.

"I'll take what I can get." he comments, before reaching out and gently sitting me up.

He stays by my side to help support my weight and I look around to see us on a small beach.

"I'm Lucien, by the way. Your personal guardian angel or personal protector, whichever you prefer." he introduces, with a proud grin.

"Mila." I croak out.

"I know, baby girl. I have your name imbedded in my skin." he replies, with a soft chuckle as he shows me his wrist.

I reach out towards it and gently run my fingers over my name which is completely burned into his skin, causing a small gasp to leave my lips.

"This is seriously real... What the fuck. What the hell is happening to my life right now?!" I state with a mixture of both anxiety and horror, as reality began to set in around me.

"Listen, just take a deep breath and try to re..." Lucien begins to say softly, but he shuts up as soon as a small scream leaves my lips.

"MY ARM!" I yell completely horrified, as my gaze catches the sudden design covering my right arm, that was definitely not there before.

Although the design was beautiful, resembling a tattoo. It covered my entire right arm, from the back of my hand all the way up to my shoulder and I had no idea where it came from.

"What's wrong with it?" Lucien asks confused.

"This... this tattoo...how did I get it?! I've never had a tattoo in my whole life! Let alone a whole arm full!" I explain, anxious and confused.

He gently reaches out and begins examining it. Within minutes, I watch as his eyes begin to widen.

"What is it?" I ask nervously, not liking the look on his face.

"This symbol that starts on your hand... is the symbol of Aphrodite... and as it travels up your arm, it looks to intertwine with the symbol of... Eros, and further up they both intertwine with the symbol of... Peitho. This... doesn't make sense." he mumbles, beginning to sound anxious himself as he moves my arm around, inspecting every inch of it.

"Oh no. No fucking way. There's no way that was real too! No fucking way!" I begin to exclaim when Eros's words suddenly replay in my mind.

Far from, darling. Just wait and see.

"Fuck my life... that son of a bitch was right. It was real." I state, feeling as though a bucket of cold water has been thrown over me.

"I'm guessing your referring to meeting with the Gods who marked you?" he asks, and I nod my head.

"Yes, it's very real. Greek gods and angels are both real. Us angels, are descendants from the Greek Gods themselves. Here to aid them when they please." he begins to explain.

"Now occasionally, when a person dies, instead of going to heaven or hell as you know it by, sometimes a Greek God will mark you and gift you. In return, you will be reborn as an immortal angel with the gift they gave you. It rarely happens, but when it does, it is one gift from one God. That's the rules that Zeus created. So, how you managed to have THREE Gods is beyond me, and by the looks of this mark, you were given MULTIPLE from each." he finishes, and too overwhelmed to process it all, I faint.
