Chapter 33

"I need some air." I state getting up as Lucien reaches out to stop me.

"Let her go, Luce." Salem says calmly.

"I haven't finished." Lucien quickly retorts.

"Give her a minute to take this in. I, myself, am shocked...let alone her." Salem quickly reasons.

"Fine." Lucien mumbles clearly annoyed.

I give his hand a squeeze before making my way outside.

I follow the path back to the water, taking my time before finally reaching the spot.

I make my way a little bit into the water before sitting on one of the large rocks that stuck out of the shallow water but gave a nice view to the deeper part where you could make out the different colored dragons long bodies swimming beneath the surface.

I sat there just simply watching, waiting to see if just maybe one would raise up on the surface for who knows how long, until a familiar sarcastic voice brought me back to reality.
