LOGINThe door closed behind me with a whoosh and I moved as quickly as my heels would allow to the ringing phone.
“Thank you for calling the office of Marcus Blackwell, how can I help you?” I asked in my best customer service voice, trying not to sound too out of breath as I sat down and picked up my pen to take down any notes.
“I was hoping you would answer,” the husky voice at the end of the line chuckled and I frowned in confusion. This voice wasn’t familiar, and it was super creepy.
“How can I help you?” I asked, unsure of what he wanted.
“There are so many things that you could help me with pretty. Right now I’d like you to transfer me to your boss.” He said and I curled my lip, ‘pretty’ who did he think he was talking too?
“Who may I say is calling?” I asked, trying to hide my disgust as best as I could.
“Pretty little thing, tell him it’s Nash on behalf of Vega.” He said, his voice sounding smug before I put him on hold. I transferred him over letting Marcus know that he was on the line, I was curious about why he would be calling so soon after coming in to visit Marcus and Louis.
Could it have to do with the what Vega had asked him to reconsider? I shook my head as I sat staring at my computer. What did I do now that I knew my boss and Louis were both dragons?
And that I belonged to them?
I pulled out the files I was supposed to be working on and I tried to let the mindless task of paperwork take me away for the rest of the afternoon. I could think about my next step when I was out of the office and further away from them. Then it hit me, I had a date tonight with Marcus.
Did that still stand?
Did I still want to go on a date with him?
I felt my cheeks heat up as I thought about being pinned between him and Louis and how I had wanted him to kiss me and the way their hands had felt on my hips. Oh yes, I most definitely wanted to go on a date with him still. I wasn’t sure about Louis, did he consider our previous times getting coffee and hanging out as dates?
I had thought we were just friends, but the way he had held me earlier and declared that I was theirs. It had me thinking differently about his playful flirting. Was it really playful flirting or had he been serious and I had missed it?
No, he hadn’t acted on it before it couldn’t have just been me missing the signs. Was that how Louis and Marcus operated?
Louis befriends me and then Marcus tells me we have a date?
I frowned and bit my lower lip. Maybe I was overthinking it. I shook my head and started getting back to work with the little time I had left, this paperwork wasn’t going to scan itself.
“Amelia, come to my office.” Marcus’ voice came from the intercom on my desk. What could he want?
I pushed away from my desk and stood up, smoothing out my skirt before heading into his office. I felt the flutter of my heart beating faster at the thought of seeing both Marcus and Louis.
How would this work? Being theirs, I had never dated two men at once. Were we dating? I growled to myself in frustration at so many unanswered questions floating through me mind.
I brought my hand up and tapped on Marcus’ door and then rolled my eyes and walked inside before he could tell me to come in.
“Sir?” I asked walking into his office and towards Marcus’ desk where he sat talking with Louis. The other man was leaning against the desk, his arms crossed across his chest as he looked down at Marcus, his back to me.
“Amelia, Louis would like to take you shopping for our date this evening.” Marcus said his eyes pinning me in place. I pressed my lips together unsure of how I should respond.
“Okay?” I asked, shrugging my shoulders before looking at Louis.
That answered at least one of my earlier questions. We still had a date. I guess now Louis and I had a date too.
“You’re free for the afternoon,” his lips twitched in a brief smile, “I look forward to tonight.” He added before turning away from me and back to his computer.
Louis pushed off of the desk and walked around to face me, his eyes violet twinkling with a familiar mischief and I wondered what he had planned.
“We’ll see you later Marcus,” Louis tossed over his shoulder as he grabbed my hand pulling me from the office. He stopped by my desk and I grabbed my purse before we headed towards the elevators.
“Louis, what’s going on?” I asked that strange other-world feeling settling over me again, making me wonder if today was real or just a very vivid hallucination.
“You and I are having a small shopping date before your big date tonight.” He said pressing the chrome button to call the elevator to us.
“I really don’t know how to process this.” I frowned looking at the floor. The elevator dinged and he pulled me in.
“Try not to think too hard about it and just let us take care of you.” He said with a shrug as he turned me to face him.
“You guys are dragons.” I bit my lower lip, not looking up at him.
“And you’re a redhead with brown eyes,” he said bring his finger up under my chin, tilting my head up so he could look into my eyes.
“That doesn’t make sense.” I said with a sigh.
“It does to me, you’re perfect the way you are.” He said with a smirk.
“I didn’t say I wasn’t perfect.”
“There my girl is.” He teased, although I guess it wasn’t teasing anymore and never really had been from his point of view. The elevator chimed as the doors opened.
“I didn’t agree to be yours.” I said with a smirk leaving him behind.
Chapter TwentyMarcus’ hand rested at the small of my back as he led me into the boutique. It was much different than the ones I had been to before, this one felt classy. If you could call a shop where they sold ball-gags sexy.We were greeted by a salesperson, he looked at Marcus and then at me. His full lips quirked up into a smile as his gray eyes met mine, his long wavy auburn hair looked soft to the touch.“Good evening, what can I help you with?” His voice was a deep rumble that I could feel all the way down to my toes, my eyes widened as I looked over at Marcus.“You can relax Sin, Amelia is mine.” Marcus said his eyebrow lifting and I could almost feel the warning he was sending Sin.Sin, I could understand why he was called that. He looked like a walking sin, his long lean legs encased in tight black leather pants. His white button up shirt held closed by two buttons, when he turned I could see the brief glimpse of toned, taunt muscles. He had on a silver chain from h
Chapter NineteenI sat down my wine glass as I avoided Marcus’ gaze. How could I tell him about what I knew without sounding like some sex crazed manic? Which given how Louis and Marcus had been behaving today wasn’t far off from the truth.“I know a bit about BDSM.” I said, biting my lip as I looked at him through lowered lashes.“Safe, sane, consensual. If I don’t have your consent, I won’t try and engage in that type of relationship with you.” He stated and I couldn’t help but smile. “I’d very much like to be your dominant though.”I felt my heart beat faster and the butterflies swirled to life in my stomach at his words. “I’d like that as well,” I said, my eyes meeting his as he reached across the table to take my hands.“Tell me Amelia, what do you like?” He asked and I could feel the blush flaring to life in my cheeks, the flutter of arousal stronger than before. His eyes darkened and I knew that I wasn’t just talking to him, but his dragon as well. Our waitress sh
Chapter EighteenSitting in Marcus’ car I couldn’t help but run my hand over the soft leather seat, it was soft and supply. His hand reached for mine and I realized I hadn’t been as subtle as I thought as I peeked over at him. He smirked at me and I felt the blush flooding my cheeks that was becoming all too familiar.“So where are we going?” I asked as he rubbed his thumb across my knuckles.“Just for dinner, I wanted to discuss some things with you before our relationship progresses.” He said looking back at the road and I couldn’t help but wonder if it was about the rumors I heard. I bit my lip and smiled as I looked down, I knew I wanted it to be.Marcus seemed like he would be a good dominant, I knew from the way he carried himself, to the way he spoke, he liked being in control. He moved our hands so my fingers were woven with his, his thumb caressing my thumb softly as he navigated the sleek black sports car through the dark streets. When he stopped in front of the res
Chapter Seventeen“Hello Marcus,” I said as I opened the door, I stepped to the side as he came in.“You look beautiful Amelia.” He said as he stepped into my home, I felt my cheeks heating up with a blush as his eyes moved from my bare feet all the way up my body. When he looked at me like that I could feel the same tightening in my lower belly that I always felt when he was around me, he stepped closer and I could smell the clean scent of his cologne and underneath that a smell that was uniquely Marcus. He leaned past me and closed the door.“You look very handsome,” I said looking up at him, he was in black slacks with black button up shirt. The sleeves rolled up and I saw tattoos peeking out from beneath the dark fabric, I felt my eyes widen. In all the time we had worked together I had never seen the tattoos, then again it was rare that he ever took off his jacket at the office, and I had never seen him roll up his sleeves.I wanted to trace my fingers across his skin and
Chapter SixteenWe stood in front of my apartment door as I looked up at Louis shyly, he smirked as I fumbled with my keys. Should I invite him, would that be weird for him to be here while I got ready for my date with Marcus?“When you look at me like that, little one.” He said grasping my hand with his free one, “It tests myself control.”“What do you mean?” I asked biting my lower lip, he let out a groan and stepped closer.“You don’t know what that innocent gaze of yours does to me do you?” He asked leaning closer to me.“You could show me,” I said, my lips quirked up as I tried not to smile up at him. “Are you trying to get me to kiss you?” Louis asked as he piercing gaze lowered to my lips.“I might be,” I answered, bringing my hands up to the lapels of his jacket and I pulled him closer to me.“You want a kiss?” He smirked at me.“Isn’t that the way to end a good date?” I asked biting my lip as I looked up at him through lowered lashes, the heat of his breath playing a
Chapter Fifteen“Louis no,” I gasped as he asked the sales girl to grab another pair of shoes.“Little one, I’m having fun. Let me have my fun,” his lips quirked as he ran his palm down my calf, his nostrils flaring as he scented my arousal and I felt my cheeks heat up in a blush that I was sure wasn’t going away anytime soon.“You’ve already had me try on five pairs, at this point I think you’ve got a foot fetish.” I said, raising my eyebrow as his hand trailed up my calf and to just above my knee, I grabbed his hand, my eyebrows shooting up to my hairline.“I think it’s safe to say that it’s not a foot fetish, but an Amelia fetish.” I was glad the sales associate wasn’t here as he leaned forward his eyes on my lips, my tongue darted out moistening my lips. He groaned low in his throat and I bit my lower lip, looking at him through lowered lashes.“Are you thinking about kissing me Louis?” I asked leaning closer to him, the smell of him, of his cologne making my mouth water. “
