Chapter Thirteen

She looked around wanting a good place to sit where she would be able to see the activities on the stage clearly, and also see the two doors to the hall, she found empty seats in the middle of the hall and went over to sit down there by the aisle.

She placed her handbag and book on the seat beside her to secure it for Michael, she had earlier called him just before she entered the hall to know where he was and he told her he was still in the office but would be leaving soon.

People kept coming in, Sophia looked around and saw many men with their wives, most of the men wife suits, obviously coming Straight from their offices, a sophisticated couple entered, the man was the managing director of a bank, Sophia was surprised that the man came, that was one of the point she had been trying to get across to Michael.

She envied the happiness she saw on the couples faces, she hoped Michael would walk in soon, if he comes in by 6:30pm, it would be okay, she would not be angry with him.

At 6pm,
