Chapter 133

Camilo's Point of View

"I am heading home now and I swear if they aren't there, I am going to commit murder," I growled.

There was a crackle on the other side of the line. A pause. "We are heading over as well. Everyone is done here and the greenies are cleaning up." Alejandro sounded rather out of breath by the end of the sentence. Ready to collapse.

If today had been like the other four, he must be bone tired. People had that effect on him. Had that effect on almost all of us.

"Good. I'll meet you at the front door then. I'm not that far off."

Stepping down on the accelerator, I felt my back pressing into the seat. My mother had taken Farren to the doctor. Claimed she was sick. But it should have been one of us to take her. Care for her. Not my mother and sister. Something bent inside of me. Threatened to break.
