Chapter 52

Alejandro's Point of View

I woke up to the sound of a door slamming shut. Jolted upright and took in the room. Soft pastel pink glanced back at me. Well, accents among all the white. The bed I was laying down on had a canopy of white silk overhead. But the star of the show was beside me.

Farren was sprawled out on her stomach, hair twirling behind her on the pillow. Her bottom lip pouted out. Hand rested neatly in front of her face. She was a vision, even when she was asleep. Beautiful and intimidating all at once. My heart fluttered as I took her in. Noted the gentle curve of her hips beneath the silk sheet.

Her eyes rolled beneath her eyelids. A small smile formed on her lips. Whatever she was dreaming was pleasant. Interestingly enough, I hadn't had more nightmares after our tangle. Had slept peacefully with her in my arms. It was a relief. Something I had never thought possible.
