Ever since Ashlyn woke up from her slumber, she was still the same even though her scent was already shifted a little since she was marked by Vladimir. But they were still not fully mated and there were times her mind drifted into that thought which Vladimir jolted whenever it caught his attention. He’s a vampire who can read his beloved mate openly. 

“Kim, can you lessen the heat running wildly inside your mind lately?” Vladimir lowly whispered as he gathered their dirty dishes and placed them on the sink since they were having breakfast.

Ashlyn blushed upon realizing what Vladimir was referring to and he earned a slap over his arm. Then she dashed out of the kitchen and he chuckled before going on helping around the kitchen. But at the same moment, Ashlyn calmed herself down and when she glanced over at her mate in the kit
