Chapter Seventeen

Greyson's POV

The whole infirmary was as quiet as a graveyard after I got off the phone with Dean. The sound of a pin dropping would be deafening at this point.

I stared at Roger's purple and swollen face until the room felt like it was spinning and my eyes began seeing double figures

I sucked in a sharp breath and turned away from the horrible sight, stumbling out of the infirmary and into the cool, calming evening air outside.

I gripped the iron banister in front of the building for support as I inhaled and exhaled slowly with my eyes closed, relishing in the clean air and how nice it felt against my skin

After a few seconds of doing the breathing exercise, I felt my calm and my bearings return.

I was able to think straight again.

Roger didn't die of natural causes

Not from internal or external bleeding, not from a heart attack or a deadly claw swipe to the stomach or chest.
