3rd Person POV

The bachelor’s party was in full swing when June and Xavier walked into the hall together.

"Hey, June! How have you been? I honestly thought you wouldn't make it tonight," Kiara said, stepping forward to wrap June in a quick hug.

"It's your party, Kiara. Of course I was going to come," June replied with a light laugh, handing over a neatly wrapped package. "Just a little something from Xavier and me."

Kiara thanked her, and June excused herself for a moment, walking alongside her

Adira's POV I didn't refrain from hurling the truth back at them in front of everyone. This gathering felt far less like a bachelorette celebration and more like a well-planned plot to humiliate me."Tell me, Kiara, did you actually invite me here because you're getting married, or simply to mock me, expecting I'd burst into tears just because there isn't a man standing by my side? Well, if my man were to walk through those doors right now, every single one of you would be green with envy."I had no idea why those words escaped my mouth, but I felt a need to remind these snakes that I was leagues above them."Gosh, we were only pulling your leg. Why are you creating such a massive scene out of nothing?" Kiara chuckled, trying to brush it off with an airy laugh.I rolled my eyes at her blatant hypocrisy. Excusing myself from the group, I walked away, deciding it was far better to wait for Mason than to waste another second on any of them. But where did he even get stuck? Mason wasn't

As Adira walked deeper into the hall, the atmosphere shifted. The hushed gasps quickly dissolved into judgmental giggles as the ex-bullies in the room realized who had just walked in.And, just as Adira had predicted, she was entirely alone.Mason was nowhere in sight, who God knows where got stuck. She knew what she had walked into but, going back was not an option. So, she simply took a glass of juice and pretended to just exist. But some people couldn’t even digest that.Seeing her walk in without a plus-one, Kiara smirked, nudging a couple of her high-society friends. It didn't take long before a small group surrounded Adira, eager to put the "wolfless omega" back in her place."Well, well, look who actually showed up," Kiara purred, stepping forward with her arms crossed, eyeing Adira’s magenta dress with blatant envy. "I'm surprised you had the audacity to come, Adira. And alone? Where is your date? Or could you not even afford to hire a fake one for the night?"The women aroun

Kiara asked, setting the box down on a nearby table with a sharp chuckle. "I really thought your cousin had her eyes on him. The way she used to follow him everywhere was hard to miss.""Yes, we’re together," June said.It wasn't entirely true. She left out the fact that she was still waiting on Xavier to officially confirm where they stood, keeping her own uncertainty hidden behind a composed smile."Well, you need to push him t

Third Person POVMason was a bit bewildered when she refused his offer as he furrowed his brows, waiting for Adira to continue.“There would be a questionnaire or something. They always do this, and if I go there with someone unknown, they'd know within a blink of an eye,” Adira stated firmly. “So, I need someone who at least knows me a little.”“Well… that's a tough task. Who knows you? Other than the boss and me, I don't think you even ever talk to any colleagues in the office to offer you help,” Mason muttered to himself, trying to think hard for a solution for her.He scratched the back of his neck, leaning his hip against the edge of her desk as he went through every possible candidate in his head. Adira was always quiet, keeping her head down and focusing solely on her work. She never joined the office lunches, never lingered by the coffee machine for mindless gossip, and certainly didn't hang out with anyone after hours. To the rest of the company, she was just a ghost who wor

Adira’s POV I couldn't believe I had so much fun yesterday that I ended up sleeping like a log for the first time since I came back in time.“Look at you,” Mason reprimanded me, pointing his finger right at my face. “It's already ten in the morning! The Alpha arrived sharp at nine.”I kept my head lowered, knowing my mistake. I was a whole hour late.“Whatever,” he waved his hand in annoyance. “Since the boss didn't say anything himself, who am I to scold you, huh?”“Thank you, sir,” I said in a low voice, quickly pulling my chair back to open my PC and start working.“Quick, let me see the mail YS Corps sent to your account,” Mason said, leaning over and nudging me aside a little to grab the mouse.Instead of opening my official work inbox, he accidentally opened my personal email.“Oh, sorry,” he said, glancing at me. But when he noticed my eyes were completely glued to the screen, he turned back to look at what caught my attention.“A wedding invitation?” His eyes lit up. “And her

June's POV "June, I have to go," Xavier suddenly announced. We had barely just arrived at the restaurant, and he was already rushing to leave."But this is our date. You invited me yourself!" My heart thudded violently against my ribs, a spike of anxiety taking hold as I wondered what I had done wrong to make him pull away again."I have to find Adira. I think I just saw her," Xavier stated, already turning on his heel and walking out."Seriously, Xavier?!" I hurried after him, but he didn't even slow his pace. "You've gone completely insane because of Adira! I'm standing right in front of you, yet your entire mind is consumed by that bitch!"I couldn't stop the venom from spilling out. She was the root of all of this. Xavier was my fated mate, yet he was slipping further from my grasp every single day, leaving an ache in my chest every time he walked away."Will you shut up, June? I'm sick of your constant nagging! You always demand my time, but this whole mess happened because your

Adira’s POVI stared at my reflection in the mirror for a little longer as the girl looking back at me didn’t feel real.Dressed in a white wedding gown that hugged my body perfectly before flowing down in soft layers around my feet, I looked… so pretty.I swallowed. Was that really me?I’d always
