THE dining room was lively with the number of people in there that night. Amore just replies with a smile whenever she is involved in the conversation. She was slowly getting comfortable with everyone, but there was someone that give her some foreign feeling—Amadeus. The man keeps on glancing at her with a stare that seems to be unfolding her inside out.“Don’t mind him.” Amore was slightly surprised when Xavier suddenly whispered to her. She looks at her and just nodded and continued eating.“Your cooking is really the best, madam!” Drake complimented Amadeus’ mother.“Well? That is something I can’t deny!” Mrs. Donovan joked and everyone erupted into laughter.Well, Drake was right. “WHAT have you done?!” it was the first thing that Amadeus heard from his father. Amadeus remained composed and walk toward the sofa and took a sit.“Don’t you dare act like it was nothing, Amadeus. What you did was crazy as hell! This is unforgivable. Knowing about it is making me embarrassed to face Alec,” Amadeus’ father added while stroking the side of its head like he’s having a headache.“I apologize, dad. I just didn’t know about the relationship you had with Amore’s father. If I had known about it, this should have not happened,” Amadeus’ responded. AMADEUS gets his pistol from his drawer and made his way to the living room as the other guys followed him. As they followed him, Amadeus can hear their snickers and whispers. He stopped on his tracks and loaded his gun, and without turning back, he said, “Will you all stop with the silly actions or you all want holes painted in your bodies?”“Chill out, Amadeus! We’re just fooling around!” Baron first opt out and pushes Drake towards Amadeus.“Don’t push me, man!” Drake grunted.Amadeus gritted his teeth and face the jerks and gave them a death glare. He then pull down the magazine of his gun and acted like counting the bullets inside it.“Hmm, this bullets will all be enough to leave a hole in each of you,” Amadeus’ remarked as he insert back the magazine.“You both are getting us all killed, stupids. AMORE look up at Amadeus when she heard what he said. And then she asked, “Killed or be freed? So, what’s the verdict now?”“You can do whatever you want after this, woman. You’re free,” Amadeus replied and walked out of the room leaving Amore speechless.Amore stared out of space, that last word he said kept ringing in her head. Free.‘Am I really free now? But what does that free mean to me? Having to live my life normally? Get to spend the years I lost? Being able to stay under the sun without the fear of getting caught? Would that be it?’ Amore’s restless thoughts at that moment.“B-But why… w-why it doesn’t g-give me j-joy?” Amore broke down and tears started falling from her eyes. She wipes her tears with the back of her hand. But she can’t wipe all of it. And so, she tried to walk toward the bathroom. As she takes a step, her feet tremble.

AMORE slowly woke up as her eyes flutters adjusting to the light. She then slowly roams her eyes to her surroundings. ‘Where am I? Am I finally dead?’ she said in her mind.She then smelled that familiar smell when she got hospitalized because of that accident. And so, she then realized that she was inside a hospital. Amore looks at herself, she’s wearing a hospital gown as her hands and some parts of her feet are wrapped in gauze.Amore rose from lying down on the bed, she then tried to stand up. But then, she doesn’t have any strength to do that. She fell to the floor, and at the same time, the door in her room opened.The man whom she saw first in that house came inside. She doesn’t know his name, but the man immediately walks to her side and helped her to stand up.“Xavier told us that you need to rest first. Don’t tire yourself,” the man said as he guided her back to the hospital bed.“Here, drink some water,” the man added. Amore looks at him. He’s the only one who’s showing her

AMADEUS hurried and made his way upstairs, and before he reached where the room of Amore is. He saw one of the housekeepers crying in front of the door. And that made Amadeus baffled, so he continued walking and Cali and the others are following him. When they arrived inside the room, what they saw is shattered glasses on the floor and dried blood on the floor. Also, Amore’s body is laying on the floor full of blood. “What the… hell?” Baron commented after they saw the scene inside. “Did she kill herself?” Cali commented. While Amadeus couldn’t move as he stares at her. He couldn’t think properly about what to do. ‘Did she really kill herself?’ he thought. When he regained himself he immediately ordered them, “Call Xavier, NOW!” And he walks toward Amore and brings her to her arms and immediately moved out of the room and down the stairs. “Xavier get in front of the hideout now!” Cali called one of their comrade, their medical expert. “PLEASE… just kill me already!” Amore pleaded as tears started falling from her eyes. Amadeus couldn’t understand himself. When he heard Amore say those words, there was a sudden foreign emotion that creeps into his system. He doesn’t like what he’s hearing. He masked those foreign emotions by thinking that he didn’t like the way this woman is ordering him around. ‘Hell, who is she for me to follow her order?’ Amadeus thought. And just when he’s about to get up, Amore clung to his arms. And there, Amadeus felt a strange emotion again and he’s not liking it. Amadeus gave her a death glare, “Let go of my arm, woman,” said Amadeus in a cold voice. Amore then slowly let go of his arms. Amadeus immediately move away from her and stood beside the bed while still giving her the cold shoulder. “So, that’s your technique? To seduce the man and kill him afterward?
