Proceeding with the Plan

“You’ve been very, surprising at school this past week,” Mason stated as we traveled on our stupid little date Mason insisted we have today.

“I’ve come to terms with things,” I said, my arms folded across my chest as I looked out the window at the passing scenery.

This was probably the hardest week I have ever had. Pretending to be the loving girlfriend in front of everyone, in front of Jayce. I was already wore out. The Alpha in me wanted to fight back, I didn’t want to submit. But this would be my life now, better get used to it.

“I’m glad, although I will admit I miss that little spunk of yours,” he snickered making me bite my cheek.

“Well, I can hit you a few times if it made you feel better,” I replied, smiling.

He chuckled before pulling over in front of a restaurant. We got down and had a meal, things were civil. I suggested we go out to a club afterward. I still had a plan I needed to stick to. I figured I could get drunk enough and not remember anything.

“Let’s
