Leaving Crimson

Tara-

I frantically stuffed clothes into a small suitcase. As I looked around the room, I knew I wanted to take as little as possible. I didn’t need any reminders of this place or this life. I was a little thrown off when Mason had suggested that Livvy marry Jayce. I knew that there had been some sort of ruse, I was just disturbed by the crudeness of it. And by the fact that Mason would even agree. I didn’t think I could despise him more, but I guess he proved me wrong.

I grabbed some toiletries from the bathroom. I made sure to pack my jewelry I brought with me from Creede and a few books my mother had gifted me a few years ago. She had written a touching letter in one of the blank pages that I often read when I was feeling homesick. I grabbed a few clothes, only a few days worth knowing we would probably go shopping when we arrived at Jayce’s penthouse. Satisfied with what I was taking, I went to Livvy’s room.
