Chapter 36 - Anger

Third persons pov 

Getting ready she wrote a letter to her sister who was sleeping.

Salam

I'm leaving for work, no need to go to school, look after brother, stay safe until I return.

Sumaiya

Her bloodshot eyes indicated she never had an ounce of sleep yet she readily came to work as the memories kept haunting her.

Standing at the bus stop, she gloomily looked towards the vehicle passing by, she remembered her words.

Remember I will always be by your side no matter what.

She bit her lip but is was impossible as the tears had already flowed out of her eyes, she bit her inner cheeks hugging herself, her lips quivered and a shiver ran down her spine.

As soon as she reached office she busied herself with work to relax herself, she continuously worked losing track of the time, if was already four in the evening, she had already skipped her meals from last night but she didn’t feel hunger, being in poverty she had learnt to survive
