4: She's Here!

“Ahh...” Nikolas grunted adjusting his pants.

He feels horny again. Damn it!

Seems like he has finally been possessed all thanks to that damn soul shifter! For whatever reason, he was unable to get her out of his mind. Her pixie face kept appearing in his mind as she screamed beneath them that night. Fuck!

Nevertheless, he has steadfastly declined to discuss it... about her. All three of them despise soul shifters. Talking about it was forbidden.

Imagine thinking about something you detest, only to learn that "Something" turned out to be your mate, one you've already claimed primarily as a result of losing control of your senses due to some goddamn heat? Infuriating is an understatement.

Nikolas cast a glance at his tribrid mate Zakai, he knows that Kai could feel his emotions but the latter was pretending not to. F*cking pussy. His other mate, Tristan wasn't here or he would have been of great help to his raging cock. He was so hard that wearing pants was becoming uncomfortable.

He's been experiencing this for two days now after they had forcefully mated with her. The brown-haired girl from the brothel.

Just the thought of her got him wet, again. It's as though his body has been possessed after that night, with him having no control over it. If it were any other day, he would have known it has something to do with him — his vampire side which was always on a sexual drive, but it wasn't.

Unlike his two other mates, Nikolas was different. Actually, three of them were all different in their own way, but Nik, being a vampire/werewolf shifter, had a greater libido than the three. Werewolves are inherently sexual animals, but when you combine that with his vampire side, gave him an almost incubus-like appearance. However, he doesn't feed off anyone's life's force when having intercourse with them.

That night, the three of them decided to go to the brothel to find someone who would satisfy them until the heat wave passed but who would have thought that their mate will walk through the door that night?

Upon seeing her, they were immediately mesmerized, amazed by her beauty, and even Zakai, the most dangerous among them, let out a low grunt of satisfaction. But that feeling only lasted a moment before her scent hit them.

Their joyful gazes became cold instantly and the next minute, fury erupted deep in their eyes. Especially that of Zakai. Of course, there is the only thing that could get that reaction from them which was the one thing that they each loathed with good reasons, one that they've always hunted down and killed on the spot when sighted for centuries now.

Soul shifters.

Both the soul shifters and Requiem pack has always been enemies for as long as earth. So the very sight of one dancing on the pole didn't just piss them off, they were enraged!

They wanted her dead on the spot. They don't care if she's their mate, the most important thing is that she dies!

With elongated nails, they approached her, their indignant eyes looked at her like prey. But suddenly something hit them making them stop dead in their tracks. Heat.

Their wolf took over without warning making them claim the very thing they hated.

And now, not only did they mate with the enemy, they were craving her presence. How sick is that?

No, how did a soul shifter manage to get into their pack in the first place?

Are they using her to scout the pack for any weakness? Well, they could come whenever they want but they will never make it back alive.

The news came like a blow to every one of them. Mated to a soul shifter... Although Nikolas was feeling insane about the whole thing, what worried him most was Zakai, his tribrid mate. Since learning about this, he has shut down and never spoken to him or their werewolf companion Tristan.

Despite the fact that they are all mates, Nikolas didn't have the guts to bring it up. Just as Nik was thinking about how to relieve himself, the door opened and  Tristan walked in. “Yo, looks like the scaredy cat is sensible enough to heed my warning by leaving town. It's two days with no sign of her —”

He trailed off when his eyes landed on Nikolas and sensing his arousal through their mating bond, a loud growl left his mouth. "Shouldn't we talk about it? For heaven's sake, we've mated with a soul shifter, what are we going to do about it?"

Zakai stood abruptly and stalked towards Tristan, even though he knew Kai wouldn't hurt him, Tristan couldn't help but feel the chill run down his back. The lethal aura emanating from him suppressed them slightly and they found it difficult to breathe for a moment.

“Mated or not, it doesn't change anything! We do what we've always fucking done, we kill them. We've been hunting soul shifters for ages now, we ain't gonna stop now. Giving her a chance tonight is enough mercy on my part, next time I look at her she'll die!"

Zakai pinned them with those beautiful onyx eyes of his yet terrifying in every way as if he was daring anyone who will go against his decision but it's obvious who the leader amongst them was, no one wanted to go against Kai! They could only avert their gaze, a silent acquiesce on their path.

With a growl, he gave them a quick look before storming out of the room.

Tristan swallowed and turned his gaze back to Nikolas. "Did that put you off a bit?"

Nikolas glanced down to look at his crouch which was still hard as fuck. No, Zakai's anger didn't help to dampen his excitement,  instead, the arousal went top-notch. The three of them may be handsome but Nikolas feels that Kai isn't just handsome, he was hot in every way. His anger may be terrifying to others and even to him but Nik still feels hard whenever Kai was near. His body was simply too sinful.

Agreeing with Nik's thought, Tristan knelt in front of him and help him take off his pants. His long, hardened length sprang out when Tristan cupped his palms around it, earning a low, appreciative grunt from Nik.

It wasn't long before he came. Tristan knew his body like the back of his hand and used that to torment him.

A few hours later, Kai returned home looking unusually calm. “Dress up. We are going out.”

Tristan and Nik glanced at themselves then at him, “Why, did something happen?”

“Yes! We've tracked down the people who tried to kill Tristan but the media managed to get a wind of it. We need to resolve that quickly before the enemy thinks that Requiem pack has become too easy to deal with.”

A few days back, Tristan was attacked by a group of assassins. They had left him in a building attached to a bomb but a few minutes before the bomb went off, someone had saved him. He doesn't know if the person made it alive though since Kai had brought him home before he regained consciousness.

At the mention of the incident, they momentarily forgot about their soul shifter mate and went to dress up. As the leaders of not just the Requiem pack, they had to dress legal. Not only were they the Alphas to Requiem pack, but they had an impact on every pack in the States because they owned a single item that stands as a symbol of power. A black platinum ring is known as the summoner.

Owning the ring makes them royalty in all packs, which is why many people have wanted to get their hands on it. However, it was only their wishful thinking because the ring is with Zakai — no one had succeeded in taking it from him. Those who had tried were all dead.

The three men left their mansion a few minutes later, each looking stunning in their royal attire. Their two Betas had already driven out the three most expensive cars their Alphas love to ride in.

Zakai climbed into his favourite Aston Martin and instead of sitting down, he opened the sunroof and stepped out and surveyed the scene from above. With a light tap on the roof, he commanded his Beta Clay in a deep baritone voice: "Drive!"

Clay nodded and soon the car sped away in the distance. Tristan's flashy Bugatti soon followed while Nik drove himself. He was so obsessed with his car that he wouldn't let anyone drive, he could drive himself.

As the three cars drove through the streets, everyone bowed in their direction. And when they saw Zakai, they screamed with excitement. Of course, their reaction was to be expected, it's not every day you see the infamous Alphas of Requiem pack and even though these three were the most dangerous people in town, people still adore them.

They soon reached the conference meeting. The reporters waiting at the entrance went nuts when they saw the three cars in tow. This means that not just one of the Requiem Alphas showed up, but three! Their cameras started flashing in every corner, trying to capture everything they could so they could create the best stories.

And of course, most were mainly interested in getting a picture of Zakai since he rarely visited any event like that.

As Zakai got out of the car, someone screamed. "The summoner! He's carrying the summoner!'

They gasped as they stared at the ring on Kai's finger. Some stared at him in awe while others showed a malicious interest, but none dared to approach him, seeing the arctic air around him. Nikolas and Tristan soon got out of their cars and walked towards him, when the people saw the three Alphas together, screams rang out from across the street from pack members who had come to watch the conference

‘Oh my gosh, they are so cute!’

‘I know right? I wish I'm their mate!’

‘Alpha Tristan! I love you!’

Being the most friendly one amongst the Alphas, Tristan flashed a smile at the camera and waved at the girls.

The crowd went crazy all over again.

‘He smiled at me!'

‘Are you blind? Didn't you see him smiling in my direction?’

A fight was about to break out when trained wolves went to put things in order.

The conference meeting soon began. Although Zakai attended the meeting this time, he did not attend, leaving Nik and Tristan to answer the questions while he scanned the crowd.

"Alpha Tristan, we heard that you were attacked by an assassin and almost lost your life, is that true?"

Tristan smiled and maintained a casual demeanour. "If I were attacked, I wouldn't stand in front of you, would I?"

The reporter was speechless at the rhetorical question but didn't give up. They fired off more questions but to no avail. They soon realize that Tristan and Nik weren't answering any of their questions but somehow deflecting the answers, making all their speculations seem unreasonable.

Another reporter couldn't take it anymore and shamelessly asked, “Alpha, the mating period just passed, we heard you picked a woman from the pack, may we know who she is? Is it likely that she'll have a chance with you in future?”

The moment he asked that silence fell over the arena. Although the Alphas didn't speak a word, everyone could feel the change in them. The reporter immediately regretted asking that, he felt his scalp go numb as Tristan's cold eyes fell on him.

“No —” Nikolas decided to answer that but right when he spoke up, a loud growl rang out from Zakai who was standing behind them.

Tristan quickly approached him to warn him to keep cool as his image is more important, but in the following minute, he quickly understood that Kai wasn't mad at the reporter but something else. Or should he say, someone...

A familiar smell hit him and made his body tense, his expression betraying a shocked expression. Damn!

All three Alphas glanced at themselves as they communicated silently through their bond.

She's here!

That damn soul shifter didn't leave, she's still here.
