CHAPTER 42

I snuck back up to my room once I was finished in the office and I made sure that there was no trace of me in the office. And I definitely printed out those correspondences from dad to Elias.

I went back up to my room and I paced around for a little while before I sat at my desk and I turned on my own computer.

I started researching Elias. But the only thing I could find was all the praise that he was getting in the human world for all the good deeds that he had done for people. All the charities that he was involved with and the schools that he donated money to in poverty stricken neighborhoods.

He looked like a real saint on paper, but that was about it. There was nothing in the press to make him look bad. He was never caught up in a scandal.

So I typed in my father’s name and he wasn’t in as many articles but they were just as clean as Elias.

These men were really careful to keep their true selves hidden. They definitely didn’t want anyone to see what they were really lik
