“Don’t you think we should confront her to know what she heard?” Jason asked after a few minutes of silence, running his hand through his wavy hair.

Ava was nowhere to be found when they woke up and they instantly figured out that she had bailed on them.

“Do we need to?” James was feeling irritated already. “If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you’re becoming overly attached to our dear Ms. Ava, Jason.”

“Jason is right, James. I know we had such a good time yesterday but she bailed on us before we woke up and we need to make sure she doesn’t feel hurt or feel unwanted all over again to ask us to reject her again.” Jake pointed out.

James groaned. “Why would she? She’s going to be in an exalted position from now henceforth after the announcement we made last night, I don’t think she’s going to give that up.”

“Girls are wired in a strange way, Jason. If we don’t make her feel comfortable, she’s going to leave. We need her for the sake of our reputation, not the other way round.” Jak

  • Her Triplet Alpha’s Game   Chapter 22

Ava’s POV“For how long have you been having these nightmares?” Lukan asked coolly. I wasn’t sure I’ve ever seen him rattled and it was amazing that he always managed to keep his head no matter what. “It’s been happening for a week now and each time, I’ve tried not to make anything of it but the repeated sequence is starting to get to me and I’m worried about what this might mean in the future.” I said. My biggest fear has been running into any of the Wayland brothers at some point in the future when I wasn’t ready to face them and it was why I was working my ass off to reinvent myself by any means necessary. “The Wayland brothers can’t come here unauthorized, Ava. And I don’t see why I should extend them an invitation in the first place. I trust everyone here and I’m sure that they’ll keep the news of your presence here to themselves. So basically, you have nothing to worry about.” I nodded, suddenly feeling serenaded by his words as peace washed over me. He was right after all,

  • Her Triplet Alpha’s Game   Chapter 21

Ava’s POVThe days that followed after the revelation turned out to be better than I had initially expected it to be. The weight of pain that had once rested heavily on my shoulders had begun to ease up and with time, it also began to fade away with the wind. Having been discarded and forced to leave everything and everyone I had known didn’t feel so bad anymore. I was determined to forge a new path for myself with the help of the new friends I had made in a place I had come to see as my new home. Luciana and Lukan helped me to become familiar with the people and I was grateful to have them. Being a new wolf in a new pack wasn’t an easy feat and trying to blend into the new surroundings was harder than I ever realized. Lukan had urged me to join his pack on a hunt once and despite my initial reluctance, I figured a moment outside would bode well for me and my unborn child. “You need to start leaving the house often, Ava. You’re pregnant and not handicapped.” Luciana had said and h

Ava’s POVI bit down hard on my lips drawing blood as the wolfsbane laced with silver whip came down on my bare back. I felt my skin rip open with a new wound as the whip came down on my back again and again, this time, leaving an injury worse than the previous one. “Should we keep on going? I’m taking so much pleasure in doing this. I can do this for the rest of your life if I decide to.” His laugh was cold and empty, sending chills down my spine. “You should learn to answer when I’m talking to you, Ava. I am your father after all and you’re bound to obey me. Isn’t that right?” He didn’t wait for me to get the words out of my mouth before he brought the whip down again and this time I couldn’t hold it any longer as I yelled in pain and agony as I failed in holding myself together. I’ve often promised myself not to give him the satisfaction of seeing me cry anytime I was being whipped but today, I failed. The tears I’ve been struggling to rein in stung my eyes harshly as they roll

Ava’s POVI could feel the tears brimming at the back of my eyes, threatening to drop. I knew my mother had a difficult life in the Wayland pack but I never knew the buildup to it and now, I know how it all started. “Aunt Moria — your mother’s disappearance weighed on us for a long time and even though we reluctantly accepted that she was dead and we flushed out nearly all the Rogues in the area as retribution for her death, we didn’t quite feel fulfilled and my mother — behind everyone’s back — continued to search for her.” Lukan continued. “She did?” I hadn’t been expecting that. “My mother was quite stubborn and she never believed that her sister was dead until she saw a body. One fateful night 18 years ago, we got a letter from Moria that she was pregnant and she needed help to be rescued because her life was in danger and she had no one else to turn to. We were skeptical about believing the news because we’ve been subject to several pranksters trying to use her disappearance t

Ava’s POVI spent most of the day sleeping and trying to replenish my strength as Luciana ordered.Everything still felt surreal and even after hours of sleep, Luciana wouldn’t let me do anything myself until I got the doctor’s clearance. She enlisted the help of several maids to help me bathe and wash my hair. For the first time in my life, I was revered and treated with utmost respect that which brought tears to my eyes. The sun was setting and Lukan hadn’t returned. I figured he was a busy wolf. Most of the Alphas were that way especially if they ran a large pack. There were a lot of things he was yet to tell me and I couldn’t wait for him to reveal everything to me. If he said we were family, how come I never knew who he was until today?A sharp knock on the door interrupted my train of thought. “Good evening, Miss. It’s time for dinner.” A maid rattled off as soon as she opened the door. I would’ve preferred having my dinner alone in my room. I enjoyed the comfort and the p

Ava’s POVI hesitated before responding. I knew that revealing my true identity could be dangerous, but I also knew that I was in no position to lie. “Like I said, my name is Ava and I am from the Wayland pack.” My voice was barely above a whisper.Lukan's eyes glowed with anger for a second before it faded away, “That pack has an unhealthy reputation for being cruel to those they deem unworthy. Did they do something to you?" He raised a brow. His words hit close to home. I shifted uncomfortably in my seat. His gaze and everyone else’s around the table were on me, so I had to answer. I sighed before I spoke up, “I am an omega who was born a bastard and I grew up with a scandalous reputation. I was once caught with a rogue alone in a room, and immediately got branded as the slut of the pack without getting a chance to explain myself no matter how hard I tried to say my part of the story. Even though nothing happened between the rogue and me, wherever I went, I was treated badly. I w
