MasukBalder P.O.V.‘Love, we are in the cellars now. Do you want to start with Garrick, Kammie or one of the unknown cohorts?’ Lillie mindlinks me. I’m impressed with how fast she went to Blackmoon and back with the three men, but then again, she is absolutely pissed off by their audacity, and I can’t blame her one bit. ‘One of the unknown, baby. I’ll be right there with Richard and the others.’ I mindlink Derek and Cassian to get down to the interrogation rooms within the cellars, and bring the girls. Illisa and Adria would never forgive me for keeping them out of the loop. Then I tell Richard to follow me as I head to the hospital before we also will go down there. He frowns at our detour, but then sighs when he sees where we’re going. “I feel bad for thinking he was a bad guy for a second.” “You couldn’t have known, but I do wonder, Richard,” I open the door for him, and let him pass me inside. “How did you communicate with him while he was.. You know.” Richard shrugs and puts his
Elder Richard I take a deep breath before raising my hand to knock on the door. I do not want to do this, but I have to. I have to know where we stand on the issue of finding Garrick who has vanished into thin air, and I know they arrested the other scribe; Kammie. I want to interrogate her, but so far Dorian has been declining my requests.I do not want to go over his head on his matter, he is my Head of Council, but I find it completely unfair how he has closed me out after Kammie was arrested, and I haven’t even been allowed to talk to Josin, and that despite the fact that they are not our pack grounds. I let my knuckle fall on the door, knocking twice and waiting for the come in, which comes after a second. I sigh again as I open the door. I absolutely feel horrible doing this, but I can shake the feeling that Dorian is trying to either protect me from some horrible truth or he is hiding something, and I don't even know which one is worse? Balder looks up when I close the door,
Jessica P.O.V.Elisa chuckles, promising it won’t take long, and then she opens the secret passway in my room. I still have no idea how she does that, she doesn’t touch anything, and she doesn’t say anything. Is it an essence thing, a presence thing? It’s kind of driving me crazy. She leads me down the familiar stairs, the ones we have taken before. Then out the door leading directly to Anicka’s little realm pocket, where she is not really in our realm, but really not either. Very confusing. “Ah! Jessica and Elisa, welcome! Step closer, come on, don't be shy.” Anicka says, her dark melodic voice drawing you in with the promise of mischief and death in one breath. She is in a black skintight dress that’s flowing to the floor, and almost looks like it’s smoke when it floats around her feet. Her arms are bare, except for tattoos covering both arms from wrist to shoulder, and gold wrist bands. On her hands she has gold rings on three fingers in each hand, and golden hoops in her ears.
Jessica P.O.V.She has been gone for days now. It has to mean she’s dead. It just has to, I would be able to live it down if she came back alive and well, not after everything I’ve done to make sure everyone knows she is dead. I need her to be dead. Tywin smirks in my direction as I take another bite of lunch, ignoring Silvan’s ongoing monologue of boredom. He has been in an exceptionally good mood today, and I wonder what has brought this upon him? He is usually a sullen, growing piece of shit. Silvan turns his head to me, his brows knit together in a frown, and he accuses me of not listening to him. Well fuvking duh, dude, but I can’t very well tell him that. I have to play it nice at least for the foreseeable future, until Elisa can get the ritual for the mark removal under way. She has promised it will be done within the next full moon, which in a few days.“Sorry, I was lost in thought, Silvan. It wasn’t on purpose, I promise.” I tell him quietly, forgoing my usual snark and sar
Druida P.O.V.A man charges at me, and I block his punch with my arm, sweeping his feet from the ground, bursting his heart with my magic as he goes down. He is dead before he reaches the ground. I keep moving, wanting, needing, to find my mates and my parents. I look for my parents first, seeing them fight and work side by side. Someone is coming at my mom from the side, and I burst his heart as well, and he goes down the second she realises he is there. Her eyes search the camp, find me and nod gratefully. I can see her brain working, but I do not have the time to think more about it for now. If she works it out, then she does, and I’ll have to deal with it, but hopefully I can keep it from her for now. Men are running out of tents, shifting into dirty ragged wolves or just attacking with what they have within reach. All of them, or the majority of them, are naked. Ew. I could have been without the graphics of these small endowed species of the male kind, but beggars can’t be choo
Druida P.O.V. The pale grey of dawn always was a comfort for me, as it takes over from the penetrating darkness of night. Not that I do not like the night, I do; it’s quiet and I can get work done during the night that would never work in the day. But dawn always was my favourite part of the day; the perfect mix between night and day - quiet still, but promising noise soon, just not yet.I think back to my childhood, the one that is playing out right now in this timeline. The one where my father, who is talking quietly with my mother a little way from me, always found me whenever I snuck out of the packhouse during the dawn hours. Back to the times where mom and I talked, spared, trained magic and laughed during these quiet times, where her shoulders finally relaxed fully. Where she was just mom and not Luna, not someone who was always going somewhere, or talking to someone. My parents always made time for me and my siblings. Do not get me wrong. They were amazing parents. They were
Druida P.O.V. The forest is quiet and calm as I gather herbs and berries around the campsite. I needed to get outside after Silvan ordered us to talk yesterday morning. The things he was told made him insufferable to be around, and the place felt like one was suffocating even while being outside.
Elder Richard P.O.V.“And that concludes the Council meeting for today. Thank you all for coming.” Head Councilman Dorian says with a smile for the room, but I can see the worry in his eyes as he looks over the round room. People rise from their seats, gathering papers, pens and computers. They ar
Lucas I step into a corner to watch the dawn arise, feeling the bond with my mate not being close. She is not in residence right now. Where could she be? As I’m wondering that a female walks out from the mansion. She scans the courtyard with cold calculating eyes, and then they land on me. She sm
Lucas The night air brushes through my hair as I travel through the mountains close to the Iron Mountain pack borders. I decided to go myself, as I want to see my mate and it’s more difficult for her to leave Silvan’s court, than it is for me to leave mine right now. Angel said sh
