LOGINMaddison P.O.V.We don’t hear much from the situation with our daughter and her mates, but as I keep telling Liam; no news is good news. They guys would have surfaced in a raging fury had she died, and so far the only thing that’s happened is that Lucas suddenly disappeared from the upper realm, his parents explaining Cian summoned him to Amar. I asked how they knew, Queen Sierra, taking a break from being in the hospital, said they had rekindled their bond to Lucas, so they knew where he was all the time. Besides, it only made sense because Cian is the King of Amar, and he can summon one to his city at will. This was news to us, and we exchanged a look after that. I knew Liam wanted to be with his daughter in her time of need, but I also knew she was in the best hands, and we were needed here to keep defending the packs. The attacks had stilled after Mirage was injured. Lucas had killed Elisa, ripping her heart from her chest the second Cian disappeared with his mate. He had gone in
Druida P.O.V.“I will not allow you to leave us, Mirage. Not now, not ever. Do you hear me? You need to fight this and come back to us.” Cian’s voice echoes somewhere in the darkness.I glide in and out, feeling and not feeling the fire in my body. I want to scream but it would need too much energy and I don’t have it. Inside I’m on fire though. My body is fighting everything. When I get too tired to fight anymore, darkness takes over and gives me relief and I wonder if I died that time, but somehow I know I didn’t. I can almost see, feel, the matebonds with Cian and Lucas pulsating somewhere inside me, refusing to let me go. “Why isn’t she waking?” I hear Lucas ask next time I’m at the surface, but it can’t be, he can’t be here. Not if here is where I think it is. “I have a theory, and we need to be on the same page on that one, Luke.” Cian says, his voice guarded and careful. He sounds like he hasn’t slept in weeks, months even. How long have I been like this? Is the war over? Is
Druida P.O.V.When Cian mindlinks me that a charcoal grey wolf is after my mother, instincts take over, and Raven takes off before anyone can blink. On our heel is Ulric, never even questioning what is going on. It seems like Jessica crawled her way back to Silvan and begged on her knees, or perhaps lied about where she’s been; what would be more her style. I scarcely notice that we pick up a lot of allies along the way, people who are clearing the way for Raven to run through without a hitch, and thank the Goddess for that. She would have torn her way through if it had been necessary, but I’m thankful it isn’t. We reach the area where my mother and father are fighting in human form, back to back, mom with her magic, dad with sheer determination and stubbornness. I hear mom tell him to shift multiple times, but he refuses. Then the charcoal grey wolf cleared the masses on the other side, her eyes fixated on my mom, her aura suffocating even all the way over here. Raven blinks, telepo
Cian P.O.V.I’m fighting three rogues and a dark witch when the earth tilts and a portal opens in the middle of the battlefield, right where the fighting is thickest. Thunder rolls on the sky, lightning illuminating the sky before rain pours down in droves. My enemies draw back, all of them looking at the eerie change of weather, a lightning coming down on a comrade right besides one of them, burning him to ashes before he can even scream. Lucas appears at my side in no time, his eyes also on the sky, a small smile on his face. Both of us know what this means, but none of our allies or enemies does. We’re both so lucky we know what our sweet adorable mate is capable off, especially when she is pissed the fuck off as she is right now, and I have an odd feeling she is assisted by her mother. Something in this storm screams Maddison. Animals from the forests join the fight with small screeches, going after eyes and ears, some even having luck with getting a throat bite in before someone
Druida P.O.V. “You swear?” He asks, and I know it’s not for himself, it’s for the men he is leading. “I, Lilliana, Luna of Iron Mountain and Princess of felines, swear on my life and the life of my mate, that if Tywin and his men help us in this war, I will personally grant you all membership of my pack, and you will be honorable members of my family. You will live your life in honor, and die with honor. Proud, bound and together. As one. As a pack. As wolves and felines in unity.” Tywin closes his eyes, his men looking at Lillie with open mouths. She just calmly looks back until Tywin finally opens his eyes again. “Thank you!” He says, his voice hoarse. I link Alora where we are and that Beta Adria needs to get to a pack doctor right now. Then I tell Lillie and Illisa they can go back or come join us here, the choice is theirs, and then I’m off Tywin and his men following me into the fight. In the middle of it all there are two wolves who are fighting each other with
Druida P.O.V.Everything is chaotic. Chaotic, fire, smoke and screaming in the night. People die left and right, from me or someone else. Alora seems to have the time of her life, and I must admit it feels good to not have to hide the extent of my powers anymore. Nor my fighting skills. The men keep underestimating me because I’m a woman, and I haven’t shifted, but Raven rides just under the surface, sharing control with me, watching and reacting with me. She is as much in this as I am, and we’re in a fucking mission to take down these bastards before going back to save everyone else. It’s not just about my parents anymore. I’ve come to realise that a little late, but better late than never. The timeline has changed completely, and now I have to save all of them. Lillie and Balder, Freya, Illisa and Adria. Adria. Something hits me like a ton of bricks. ‘Cian?’ ‘Yes, wildheart?’ ‘You sound strained.’ ‘You do too. What is wrong?’ ‘Did they take all the females?’‘Yes, all of you.
Druida P.O.V.I can’t believe that bitch has the fucking audacity to attack me within the walls of this place, but she must have lost all of her sense, and Jessica is willing to sacrifice her like a lamb to the slaughter. Well, fine then. Raven is pacing in our secret place, needing to have a place
Balder P.O.V.“How’d you guess?” She asks, and even her voice has changed. It’s darker, more sinister and void of all emotions now. “I knew it was you the moment I stepped in that room, Jade.” Illisa says, looking at her nails. “You always were a troublesome one, and I see it only got worse after
Cian P.O.V.As everyone on our end settles back into the chairs around the laptop on the table, the maiden stands behind her Queen, which is custom with them, I glance at the time on the top of the computer screen. It’s almost 3 in the morning, and I wonder why I do not feel more tired than I do? T
Druida P.O.V.After my little reset outside, I venture back in. Dawn is approaching but not yet quite upon us. I sigh. Another night where I get the minimum of sleep. It’s become a bad habit by this point, and Raven is grumbling about something along the lines of ‘we didn’t sleep any in the future
