Adelia's Point of View

"First off, I want to ask you about something unrelated to what you might think I am here for," I started, clenching my hands between my knees.

My gaze remained away from Michael, despite his eyes roaming me freely.

I felt nervous. Buzzing with energy that I couldn't quite fathom. Couldn't quite place it.

It wasn't the product of the new mate bond I had with Siya. This was different. Foreign. Like I had drank one too many beers and this was the outcome of it. A nervous and jittery body that refused to settle, even when the couch beneath me was far too comfortable.

He was leaning back a bit, shoulders brushing the back of the couch. At ease with himself, although his foot constantly bounced against the floor.

Michael shrugged. "Whatever you want to talk about, I'm here for it. That's why I came, after all. To help you in any way that I possibly can." He seemed sincere when he said it.
