Chapter 9

Adelia's Point of View

“I never thought I would see the day the mighty Siya Mxolisi got blue balls. But here we are and I am so fucking amused.” Nessa chimed, her pace beside me rhythmic.

I scowled at her but kept my pace light. Felt my blood course through my veins soothingly. “I’m surprised he actually thought I would sleep with him after he literally kidnapped me,” I replied, venom seeping from every word.

Our little tryst in his room was nothing. Meant nothing. Not whilst I was his prisoner.

And seeing as that last fact won’t change for a while, I refused to bend to his will.

Nessa stiffened at the tone of my voice. Her pace faltered for a second before catching up again. “You don’t seem as angry as I imagined you’d be,” She stated.

Across the courtyard, I could see Siya standing beside one of his other guards. His eyes never left my form. Even when he had stormed out of the room after my rejection last night. He still seemed intent on watching me.
