Chapter 8

Adelia’s Point of View

“You still haven’t eaten,” Siya said as he strolled into the room.

His eyes roamed his surroundings. Looked everywhere but at me.

Dinner had come and gone. My plate still sat untouched on the small table beside the door. Right where I had placed it before slamming the door shut in the servant’s face.

Two could play his childish little games.

“I’m not hungry.” I quipped and shoved away the drawing I had been working on.

There was no use in inflating his ego more by letting him see the damned thing.

Despite my best efforts, I couldn’t fully capture the intensity of his eyes. Not that I could fully comprehend them even in real life.

“That was your excuse for lunch and two tea times as well. I have to send a new server every fucking time because apparently you make them all cry.”

“They’re crying because they have to work for you.” I replied and decided to rather crumple up the page I had been drawing on.

There was no use in trying to get it right. I wouldn’t be able
