Amelie POV

I turn around and the woman moves towards me grabbing my arm and pulling me closer to her. “Now you and I are going to take a quick walk down the hall and out the door to the waiting SUV,” she says as she tugs me along.

“Wait,” I say looking to the nurse. “Drop the needle,” I say to her. “What?” she asks. “Drop the needle now and step on it,” I say. She does what I ask and the needle with the poison in it is broken. Satisfied I look towards the woman, “Okay, I am ready,” I say.

  • Her Ultimate Salvation   Chapter 177 - Lost

Matt POV I stood there holding my pup. I could not believe he was finally here. I had no idea what to name him. With everything we had been through, we had never had time to truly enjoy Amelie’s pregnancy. We had always been fighting something or other. I was bitter in that moment thinking of all we had been robbed of. As soon as she was home, we would start doing regular couple things. Dating. We had never truly got to enjoy a date. A movie night. That was foreign to us. I knew Amelie wanted to build her relationship with Rosie. Goddess, Rosie and Blake. I had completely forgotten about them with everything that was happening. “Blake – is Rosie still in the hospital?” I questioned, my concern for their pup strong. “I am home with her. The doctor released me under the condition I rested for the next couple of days. I feel one hundred percent better and will be able to get back to my duties tomorrow,” Blake shared. “Do what

  • Her Ultimate Salvation   Chapter 176 - Delivery

Matt POV We had been in the hospital for twenty-four hours. They were keeping Amelie comfortable, but she was not awake very often. Her fever was high, and the medication was barely helping. The doctor was checking on her hourly. She was concerned that Amelie was not responding well to the medication. “Alpha, I think we may need to consider an intervention,” the doctor stated to me. “What do you mean?” I questioned. “The Luna is not getting better, in fact in the last hour she has gotten worse. I feel we should consider taking the pup,” the doctor stated. I looked at her in shock. “What does that mean?” I asked, as I stood there trying to process what she was saying. “The pup would be born early, but the pup is strong enough to survive as a preemie,” the doctor shared. “Wouldn’t that be risky?” I questioned, uncertain what this even meant. “It is more common than you understand. Human women experience health issues, resulting in their ba

  • Her Ultimate Salvation   Chapter 175 - Risk

Amelie POV I had been sitting in my office staring at the blank screen for the last hour. I have never felt so lost as I did when they drove away with Alexa. I know I had only known her a brief period of time, but most of that had been spent with constant turmoil. I had no idea if I would see her again or if we would get the chance to build our bond. Of course, everyone is saying we will see each other, and everything will be the same. I know it will not be. How could it? I have a pup on the way, which will take precedence over everything else and rightly so. Alexa will need to start building her own life with Will. We still have the threat of our father kidnapping us. I knew letting her go was the right thing to do, but it did not make dealing with the reality any easier. I felt alone but I was not alone. I had Matt and he would help me get through this. As if manifesting him, there was a soft tap on the door and Matt entered my office.

  • Her Ultimate Salvation   Chapter 174 - Gone

Matt POV It gutted me standing beside Amelie as Will left with Alexa. Colby followed behind, after promising to notify Amelie when they arrived. I knew Alexa would be safe with Will. He had given me all his contact information. Confirmed he would not be introducing Alexa as his mate to anybody. He still needed his leg to heal. Our medical team had done all that they could – they had advised Will it would take time to heal. I can appreciate nobody wants to hear that, and that he would want a second opinion. I simply hoped he would get the answers he was hoping for. We stood in the same spot long after the taillights had disappeared down the road. I could feel Amelie through our bond. She was distraught and barely holding herself together. “Let’s go back inside to our room,” I suggested as Amelie stood as stiff as a board. “I have work to catch up on,” she said, turning to go inside to her office. I caught her hand, “Sweetheart,

  • Her Ultimate Salvation   Chapter 173 - Visitor

Matt POV I was right. It had been a long night with a lot of tears and anger. Amelie was so distraught I had to threaten her that the doctor would come and give her something to relax if she did not calm down. She looked at me bitterly, before taking a deep breath, and simply ignored me while speaking softly to Alexa. Alexa was more at peace now that she was out of the hospital. Will had come over and stayed at the pack house with us. He gave Amelie some much needed space to spend the night with her sister. Will and I spoke and I made it clear to him Amelie would be visiting once she had our pup. He was more than fine with it, “I never wanted to separate them. But given the risks to my mate, I strongly believe she would be safer away from here,” Will shared. I could not deny he was right. I had a traitor in my pack and until I found them, nobody would be safe. Both Amelie and Alexa were at risk of being recaptured. That thought

  • Her Ultimate Salvation   Chapter 172 - Breathe

Matt POV I raced down towards the main floor, yelling orders to those I met to get upstairs and bring the Beta down immediately. Nurses and orderlies were racing up the stairs to get Blake. I scanned the floor, busier now with the sick children. I scanned until I found the bastard who had deemed Blake unsavable. I moved forward until I was standing in front of the doctor who I left to look after Blake. “Where is he?” I questioned. I knew from the look on his face, the doctor knew exactly what I was talking about. “He was sent upstairs to die,” the doctor admitted, not looking a tad bit guilty. “I left you with implicit instructions to save him; why did you disobey my orders?” I demanded. The doctor had a drip of water slip down his brow, as he startled to buckled under my Alpha command. “Alpha, there were others who came in. We needed the room,” the doctor started to mutter, when I cut him off. “And yet there is nobody in his roo

  • Her Ultimate Salvation   Chapter 43 - Close Call

Amelie POVI look back and see Rosie and Blake are a bit aways from me. I see I still have my warrior, but he is only one and I suspect there is more than one rogue with this man. I turn to go back when he calls over to me. “Amelie, I just want a word with you,” he says as Blake shouts to me to g

Blake POV“Well, that went well,” I say with a brief chuckle. The look of annoyance on Matt’s face stops me from laughing outright. He was not having luck with his mate, and I was not helping his situation at all. “Rosie, I can take you for a run,” I suggest tentatively. I knew that she had a st

Matt POVI slowly open the door and see that the lights are off. That does not matter with my wolf sight. I see a slight movement by the window and quickly flick the lights on only in time to see someone disappear out the window. I quickly mind-link my warriors that someone jumped from Amelie’s w

  • Her Ultimate Salvation   Chapter 41 - Rogue

Amelie POVAs I walked into our room, I saw that Rosie was up and had eaten the meal that Blake had sent up for her. She looked refreshed, well as refreshed as she could given what she had endured. “How are you feeling?” I ask as I sit at the table with her. “Full,” she says with a laugh. I chuc
