Chapter 03 — Jacob: a handsome classmate

~Aurora POV~

"Ahhhh." I was near the stairway and slipped, falling from the fucking 5th floor.

"Aaahh." I closed my eyes and gulped in fear.

"Hey, Aurora." Ronald stepped ahead to try to catch me, but he was too late.

The darkness appeared in front of me as soon as I closed my eyes.

No, this is not happening. I can't die on my first day of college. I closed my eyes hopelessly.

My eyes widened as I felt a strong hand wrap around my head.

I felt like I was floating in the air.

How can I be in the air?

Am I dead?

I opened my eyes and found a green-eyed young man holding me in his arms.

His two hands wrapped around my waist.

Who is this young, dashing man?

"Have I come to hell?" I yelled inside.

When a thousand flashing lights reflected in my face, I blinked my eyes twice and looked at my surroundings.

Students are all taking my photos with their phones.

I'm surrounded by students; that means I'm alive.

   "Aurora." Rosie rushed towards me.

   "AURORA." Ronald quickly came up.

The stranger boy dropped me, grabbing my attention.

My jaw dropped a bit as soon as I captured his beauty.

Everything and everyone has disappeared from my sight. I can't see anyone expecting this handsome face in front of me.

I can't help but notice him—he is 193 cm tall with broad shoulders straining at the seams of his fitted black jacket.

There is an earring on his left cheek, and he wrapped a headphone around his head.

The slim-cut, tailored pants only served to highlight the impressive bridge at his crotch.

Everything about him screams power and sex.

I felt instantly drawn to this man and was shocked at the way my body was instantly reacting to his presence. Unable to stop herself, her eyes draw to his face.

The lean angle of his cheekbones and his strong jaw looked like they could have been sculpted by an artist.

His hair is messy, and his trimmed beard covers a few of his lips—his pinkish lips are so yummy.

Hmm, there is something in this boy; you can't keep your finger on the button and sit down.

"Aurora!" Rosie shook me, pulling me into reality.

I looked at her in response.

"Are you okay?" Ronald and Rosie asked in unison.

"All of you stop taking pictures and turn off your phones." The boy yelled at the top of his lungs, staring into each of their eyes with his green eyes.

All the students turned off their phones while obeying his orders, just like this green-eyed stranger boy hypnotized all of them.

"If I saw even one photo go viral, then I will take the complaint to the principal, mind me!" He looked into one another student's eyes while warning them to delete my photos.

OMG, his eyes are so scary.

Surprisingly, everyone nodded their heads in response.

Omg, who is this green-eyed man?

I shivered as he looked into my eyes.

He stares, sending a shiver down my spine, and his eyes don't leave me at all.

The way his clothes fit his muscular body is ridiculously handsome.

"Watch your back!" He gritted his teeth and turned out, disappearing from the place.

"Are you fine?" Rosie hugged me, wrapping her hands around me.

My eyes watched the young man—who saved my life—who was walking away from me.

"Haven't you gotten hurt somewhere?" Rosie muttered, while breaking the hug and checking on me.

"Relax! "I am fine." I sounded.

"I am glad you are a fine man." Ronald gave me a friendly hug while wrapping his one hand around me.

"Who are you?" Rosie asked Ronald

"He is Ronald, our classmate." I introduced him to Rosie.

"And Ronald, this is Rosie, my friend."

Ronald and Rosie made a handshake ahead.

"And meet them; she is my cousin and our senior." Rosie pointed at the girl, who was with her.

"Hello senior." I and Ronald said together.

"He is Daniel; he is also our classmate." Rosie introduced one more fresh guy.

"Hello, guys. Nice to meet you."

I simply smiled at him.

"I was so scared thinking about how I will make friends, but thanks to Rosie, I got my group on the first day itself." Daniel chuckled, creating a friendly environment.

"If you are talking about fun, I am with you, buddy." He kicked his shoulder into Daniel's.

We laughed in response and continued the conversation, knowing each other.

Meanwhile, my mind wandered to the one who saved me—who was that man?

When he wrapped his hands around me, I felt a strange connection between our skins.

Soon, we came to our classroom; the students were already there and having fun.

The class is huge and comfortable.

"Hey, I grabbed the branch!" Daniel and Rosie shouted together.

"They are funny, aren't they?" Ronald laughed—who is standing beside me.

"Yes, they are!" I laughed, but suddenly I felt my heartbeat going up fast and my ears perking up with different sounds. I felt a footstep coming my way.

I turned back, and the boy passed through me, giving me the scent of my lifesaver.

My eyes captured the handsome face—yes, he is the man who saved me just before a minute.

Gosh, don't tell me; he is one of my classmates.

"Isn't that the boy who saved you a moment ago?" Ronald inquired, watching the man.

I nodded my head in response, my eyes not leaving his for a second.

"Wow, what a coincidence!" Rosie muttered.

"This is not a coincidence; it's destiny." Daniel said.

"Destiny, my ass!" Rosie muttered, and Ronald giggled in my ear.

The classmates are laughing and talking with each other, but the guy — who saved me — is sitting alone while chewing gum, as if he didn't care about others.

Why does he look so hard?

All my classmates stood up, grabbing my attention—gosh, our lecture came in, and I stood up, showing my respect.

"Hello student, I am your class teacher and also your mathematics professor!" The professor introduced himself while keeping the book on the table.

"Hello, sir!” We wished him and sat back as he moved his hand down to sit back.

"Well, I want you guys to introduce yourselves! Let's start and learn about each other."

Our classmates and even me, looked at our friends! Who will start the first LOL!

Once again, a boy stood up in the class, and he is none other than my life saver.

"That's the spirit—the first bencher is going to be first in any way." The professor made the joke fun and laughed.

   "LOL!" All the classmates sounded.

"Myself, Jacob!" There is such a vibration in his voice that pulled me into it.

Jacob, what a great name!

I can't hear anything, but my eyes rolled at his face—he is so handsome with his 193-cm height and obviously muscular body under his crisp white shirt and fitted jacket.

There are small lines around the corner of his eyes, but something tells me he is cold and arrogant with a handsome face.

There is something about this man; I can't keep a finger on my lips.

"Hey, it's your turn." Ronald shook me by the shoulder.

I looked at him and came to my senses when I felt dozens of eyes staring at me.

Gosh! My turn came up, but I didn't realize I was staring at him so hard.

I sighed, standing up, "Myself, Aurora!" Jack stared at me while chewing the chewing gum as soon as I revealed my name, his intense stares made my words dry up.

I cleared my throat and looked at the professor.

"I am from California." I began to introduce myself. Everyone's eyes are on me, and Jacob is also starting to stare at me intensely.

I couldn't pull back but stared at him back while making eye contact with him.

As soon as the introduction ended — our professor explained about the syllabus.

And here, my eyes not taking off from Jacob even a for second.

The different types of thoughts running through my mind —

What will happen when this handsome man becomes my boyfriend?

I nodded my head, slapping my cheeks — Omg, Aurora! Come on, wake up.

•

The time passed into thin air—the bell rang.

"Okay, students, see you tomorrow." Taking a book in his hand, the professor stepped out.

"Damn, the first day of first class was mathematics— it was so frustrating." Daniel leaned back and sighed.

"Let's go and drink something—there are 10 minutes to go to start the second class." Rosie said and stretched her neck.

"Yes, let's go grab some coffee. The mind will be relaxed." Ronald muttered

"You guys carry on! I want to call my mom." I took my phone out and got off.

"Cool, do you want us to bring you something?" Ronald asked.

"No, I am fine." We stepped out of the classroom together.

"We will catch you in a short time." I smiled in response. Ronald, Rosie, and Daniel made their way to the cafeteria.

I turned my heels, unlocking my phone; the family scent hit me out of the blue, stopping me in my tracks.

I rolled my eyes, and surprisingly, I found Jacob standing there—he was checking his phone and typing with his fingers on the keyboard.

I should say thanks to him, otherwise I'll sound rude—after all, he saved my life, damnit.

"Hey!" I sounded, placing my hand on my hips.

He looked at me in response—omg, his green eyes killing me, damnit.

   "I'm your classmate Aurora."

"I know!"  There is no expression in his smile, and he is not smiling.

  "Thank you!" I smiled

"For what?" He shrugged his shoulders—omg, did he forget me already?

"You saved my life one hour ago. I was about to fall from the stairs, but you caught me in your arms." I sighed, trying to explain.

"You should really watch your back." He sounded, looking behind me.

What is he looking at? I turned back, following his eyes.

"You startled me!" I stepped back, and my back touched his shoulder.

The man in his 30s who's standing in front of me with a smile on his face and scary blue eyes

   "What?" I muttered.

"Do you know him?" Jacob inquired, pointing his finger towards the stranger.

I nodded my head in a denying way.

"Who are you?" Jacob came and stood between me and the stranger.

   "You guys must be freshmen!

"Welcome! I am your physics teacher."

Gosh! The physics lecture?

"Meet you in class." He patted his hand on Jacob's shoulder and looked at me with his scary eyes before stepping out.

"What's wrong with him?" Jacob sighed and rolled his eyes, making his way.

"Where are you going?" I stopped him behind as I am not done talking to him yet.

He cleared his throat and looked at me.

"Washroom!" He pointed his finger towards the men's washroom.

Holy crap! This is embarrassing—I chuckled, "Please carry on!" I turned back, making my way.

Hey Aurora, what you will do by knowing where he is going!

I unlocked my phone and dialed my mommy's number, making my way to the empty room.

She didn't answer the first call, so I called her again.

I want to talk with my mom. I hadn't called her since last night.

And the hallucination visual shook me to my death—the scary man with the wings.

But I turned back when I felt a strange smell hit my nose.

My eyes traveled behind the bench—I saw some shoes there, and I followed them.

My eyes widened as my eyes captured the person lying there with the blood over his body.

His neck is broken, like someone bit him!

"Aaahhhhh!" I yelled at the top of my lungs.
