It was a three-hour drive to his house, and the weather became more refulgent, showing it was a day off.
The driver stopped his car as he got closer to his side. "I guess if I drop you here, you can find a way to your house." He said to him softly. Bryan smiled. The joy he felt from sensing home again was all over the place, and he couldn't believe he could feel the airy breeze from outside—something he hadn't felt since he was locked in that Rubbies building—and that finally he was back home. He couldn't stop beaming. He couldn't wait to see his father, have him, and tell him how much he had missed him. Finally, his nightmare is all over. "It’s all because of you; I’m back home after a long time of being away. Please come with me to my house. Let me introduce you to my father." He sounds so frail, and he was so grateful to the driver. "No, don’t worry. I offer to help. Take care of yourself, and don't go out that late. Do you know it's dangerous out there?" the driver said, making Bryan smile. He couldn't imagine himself in his normal self coming outside that late, and he can't tell him the reason why he got to see him by that time, but all the same, he knew that he owed the driver a lot for savoring him. The driver winked at his face as he turned his steering wheel and drove off. Bryan trekked down the streets excitedly, leading to the house. Henry received a call from Jack saying that Bryan was nowhere to be found. He had ransacked the entire building but couldn’t find him. "Where could Bryan be?" Henry questions himself after hanging up the phone. Duke prompts his mouth open, staring at him, wondering what he means by that. what happened?" He managed to ask him. "Bryan managed to break free," he said in a low, strained voice. "How can Bryan manage to break free from the hefty gang around him?" Duke shakes his head vigorously. "Even I can’t believe that Brayan can muster such courage, "Henry said. They heard a bump at the door. "Please open the door. They are after me." They heard a voice that sounded familiar to them. "That voice sounds like Brayan's, "Henry said. "I guess he is frightened, "Henry said as he went straight to the door and shoved it open. He shoved the door open immediately, and Bryan rushed inside, shriveling in terror. "Who is after you, Bryan?" Duke asked him as he quietly closed the door behind him. "It's a good thing to be home again. I miss you guys so much. I stay in the dark and in terror, "he said as he hugged them. While his eyes were brimming with so many tears, "I'm home at last." The tears that were brimming in his eyes slid down to his cheek. "Where have you been? Your disappearance caused a great problem for us." Duke glumly said that even though Brayan doesn’t understand the problem he was talking about, he was pleasantly happy to be home again. "You got us all worried; why didn’t you consider us when you left the house without telling us where you were heading?" Henry said he looks sulfry and unkempt, but they didn’t bother to ask him what had happened to him and his busy braid and hair; it’s unlike Brayan. "I was kidnapped." His voice sounded so frail that he was tired, while tears dripped from his eyes. "Kidnapped?" They both echoed together as they raised their eyes in shock. But Henry still thought it was crap for him to say that he was kidnapped. "This is Codswallop, who will have the thought of kidnapping you, brainy of all people, Duke asks out of annoyance. "I had thought of that, but I’m not suspecting anyone will have me kidnapped." Brayan's voice was so frail that he slumped himself in the chair. He felt his stomach growl. He is hungry, and he looks so cadaverous. " hungry. Can I have something? "he" said as he yawned. Almost immediately, he looked around but couldn’t glimpse Nanny Kate. He was surprised; it's unlike her, who heard his voice but wasn't excited to see him. "Where’s nanny?" He asked no one in particular. "Brainy! Nanny is no longer staying with us; she left for her hometown, Duke replied, making him glum as his stomach growled more. Henry went inside the kitchen and brought the well-garnished Jollof rice they had just prepared with him to the sitting room. "Here, Brainy, eat to the brim," he said, dropping the plate of food at the table by his side. Without so much hesitation, Brayan took the food and chomped like a lion that was devouring Lesh. "I have missed food as yummy as this, "he said at last. After chomping the food, he regained his composure after taking some chilled water. "Bryan, what to you, and where have you been since' Henry managed to ask him, pretending not to know what happened to him. Bryan didn't want to talk about what happened; it sent a shudder down his spine, but they keep firing him with questions. There is no reason he should bottle it up. "I was abducted by this scary and hefty gang. I doubt if I have seen such people before. They were so scary enough to make me shriver with fear." He stopped, seeing how they stared at him surprisefully. Henry laughed at hearing how he was discribing them, but he didn't understand how he managed to break free. He was so curious to know everything. "If they are this hefty, how did you manage to escape? I guess they weren't that monsterous you described them to be." He was still curious. "Have you forgotten Mr. Smart?" he said, pointing at himself. They hail him. "Mr. Brainy," he smiled at them as he continued, "I can do anything." They chuckled at what he said. He guesses after telling them that they will not ask him any more questions; he doesn't want such an incident to keep occurring in his memory. It is such a nightmare. His gaze fell at the clock, and he noticed their father wasn't home by that time. "What of Daddy?" He asked them with so much excitement; his eyes had grown so much from waiting for him. The two brothers gave each other their gazes, regretting telling him what happened in his absence. "Bryan...........da.....d...i...s," Duke spluttered. "Brainy, you need to rest. You don't need this right now." Henry chipped in, but then Brian was confused. He didn't grab what they were saying; something fishy happened in his absence, even though his mind wasn't prepared for bad news. But then he wanted to know everything now. "What happened to dad?" Maybe something happened to their father. He hoped it was all a lie. "Can someone tell me what's going on here?" He raised his voice without meaning to Since you insisted on knowing, it really saddened me to break this ugly news to you: " He paused and worried his lips, making him more anxious. "We lost dad, Brainy, he howled as Duke joined him. On hearing this, Bryan broke down and collapsed in tears. "It can't be, "he quivered and he was racked with so much tears and wondered how life would be without his father By himself.Eva woke up staring at the man who had made her life beautiful. She couldn't help but smile, thinking she couldn't do without him. She had loved him with everything.Bryan seered one of his eyes open. He caught Eva staring at him like she was watching the most beautiful thing in life. He smiled at her, his eyes crinkling at the corners. Eva's adorable expression soothed his gaze.“Good morning, beautiful,” he whispered in a husky voice. She smiled as her heart skipped a beat. She reached to trace the line of his face. “Good morning, my love,” she responded, her voice barely above a whisper.Bryan closed his eyes again, a small smile playing on his lips as he leaned into her touch. “You're staring at me as if I'm the most precious thing in this world,” he murmured softly.Eva's fingers traced the curve of his eyebrow, her touch gentle. "You are," she said, her voice filled with conviction. "You make my life beautiful, Bryan. I don't know what I'd do without you." She couldn't stop beam
As they sat together in the cozy room, surrounded by the warmth and glow of the candles, Bryan took Eva's hand in his, his heart pounding with nervous excitement."Eva," he began, his voice trembling ever so slightly. "There's something I want to ask you.”"Eva's eyes widened with anticipation, her heart racing in her chest. "Yes, Bryan?" she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. She can't wait to hear everything he has to say.He took a deep breath as he continued. "From the moment I met you, I knew you were someone special. You've brought so much joy and love into my life, and I can't imagine spending my days without you by my side.”Eva's breath caught in her throat as she listened to his words, her eyes brimming with tears of happiness."Eva," he began again, his voice steady and full of conviction. "I want you to know that you are not only the love of my life, but you are also the woman I want to build a family with.”Eva's eyes widened in surprise, her heart skipping a beat
As night fell, casting its enchanting spell over the world, Eva saw that darkness was covering her room. She whooped; she couldn't wait to spend a moment with her baby, whom she had missed so much. She was soaring with excitement. As she slipped into the sexy dress Bryan bought for her, feeling its silky embrace accentuate her curve,.She glanced in the mirror, seeing how alluring the gown made her look. The gown shimmered in the moonlight, transforming her into her royal majesty.“Wow, this is extremely beautiful,“ she exclaimed as she stared at herself in the mirror. After she removed the dress, there was a knock at the door. She went to open it and shoved it open.As she opened it, she saw Bryan standing handsome and tall at her doorway, and she quickly made way for him to enter. “You ain't ready yet, my lady,“ Bryan asks her. “Just a jiffy; I'll get ready,” she smiled. "Don't you like the dress?“ He asked her, seeing the dress on the bed. He wondered if she liked it and if it f
On arriving home, Eva and Bryan stepped out of the car.Henry and Duke had a car hum from the compound. They went out, and Henry was glum upon seeing Eva with him.He couldn't shake off why she left that morning without him, as he asked her to wait.He feigned a smile, seeing his brother back. But why is he back so early? He had questions in his mind. He wished he hadn't come back so that he would get to make Eva his.He wanted him to be far away from his sight and from Eva because he couldn't see Eva if he was present. Bryan was greeted by his mischievous brother Henry, who couldn't resist teasing him and Eva about their obvious affection for each other."Well, well, well, look who's back from his business trip to his romantic getaway!!" Henry exclaimed with a playful grin as he wrapped Bryan and, him, and him in a bear hug.“Welcome, Bryan, our brainy." Duke hailed him and gave him a hug."I hope you two didn't miss me too much!" Bryan was smiling like a kid in a candy shop. He had
As Eva basked in the gentle embrace of the morning light, her heart danced with excitement. Today is the day Bryan will return home, and her smile stretched wider than the sky itself. She can't wait to see Bryan; she has missed him so intensely. Three days apart felt like an eternity, especially with Henry's persistent attempts to date her. But with Bryan's imminent return, she knew she would finally be free from Henry's disturbances. As she picked up her phone and scrolled through her messages, her heart skipped a beat at Bryan's words. "I'm at the airport, my love. I can't wait to see your beautiful face," he had written, accompanied by a smiley emoji. She let out a whoop of joy upon reading his message. He was early, much earlier than she had anticipated. She had assumed he would return late at night, giving her time to organized a welcome party. But it wasn't too late to plan something special for him."Wait for me at the airport. I'm coming with Mr. Fred to pick you up," she quic
Eva feels like the world wants to swallow her right now as she gasps for breath. Henry Hold was so tight on her; she was sweating profusely. She can't imagine having a covenant with him; if there's anything she can do to be free from him, she will.“ Hen..r..ii…p..l” Her voice was so frail she was losing her coordination as she dashed her eyes closed and fell frail weakly on him. Henry was shocked. He wondered what had happened to her; he turned her face. He was trying to know if she was okay, but it drained him to see her eyes shut.“Eva, don't do this to me; please wake up.“ He tapped her briskly, but yet she didn't make any moves; she was stiff. She has to force herself to be like that so that he can take her away from there. He lifted her up with fear of losing her grip him with his heart racing faster. He took her to her room and dropped her in bed. He stared at her after laying her on the bed. “Eva, please wake up.“ he stood up to call the doctor as he was about to dial the doct
Henry gently squeezed Eva's hand as he guided her to a secluded spot in the garden, where a rustic bench nestled beneath the boughs of an ancient oak tree awaited them. The verdant foliage provided a canopy of shade, shielding them from the sun's golden rays while allowing slivers of light to dance upon their skin.As he stared into her eyes, he could see himself in her eyes, dreaming of togetherness with her, and he wished she was dreaming the same dreams as he is. Eva shied away from his gaze and eyes, feeling the beauty of the place. She can't believe that such a place exists. “What's the mystery about this hidden place, Henry?“ She was so curious to know, and with the way she was still looking around the environment, Henry smiled at her. “Eva, the mystery behind this place is love and hate.“ He sounded so cool. “What is it all about?“ Eva felt she should know everything.“Do you want to hear a story?“ He asked her, and she nodded her head in response to his question. He held he
Eva lay down on her bed, thinking about what Henry told her—that he was in love with her. “Please give me a chance to prove my love to you,” he could say to her, and she had no idea what to tell him. Can't he see she is madly in love with Brayan, and she doesn't think she can fall in love with anyone except Brayan? Her gaze fell on the ceiling. She had been hoping for the day she would match the aisle with Brayan and have his baby grow inside her. Now that Henry is picking up interest in her, she hopes he will not ruin her dream of being with Brayan.Henry is in the dining room, pacing around, wondering what to say to Eva for her to accept his proposal. He thinks he can treat her better than anyone."One day is left for Brayan to come back, and I will not win Eva over to myself. I have only one day to win her over," he thought to himself as he continued to pace around. He thought he should go out with her again and hear from her once again. Not minding how much love she had for Braya
Suddenly, a beep entered Eva's phone. It was Brayan, displaying on her screen with a tickling smile escaping from her lips as she scrolled through her phone to read the message. “I miss you so much, darling. I hope my brother is taking good care of you. I trust them; they won't give you trouble.” A tickle of a smile circled around her face, while Henry stared at her, wishing she would accept to be his. Eva's heart fluttered as she typed, her fingers dancing across the screen, "I can't wait for you to come back, my love." Meanwhile, Henry's gaze lingered on her, filled with longing and hope. As Eva hit send, she couldn't shake the feeling of warmth spreading through her, knowing that even miles apart, Brayan was thinking of her.Henry watched Eva's expression soften as she continued texting Brayan, a mixture of envy and admiration swirling within him. He yearned for her affection, but he knew he had to respect her feelings and her commitment to Bryan. As Eva's phone chimed with Bryan's
