A spark

She was set to leave for work. She had about thirty minutes before leaving. Then she remembered Richard, she sighed softly before handling the doorknob, she twisted it and the door unlocked. She sauntered casually inside.

The room was hushed as grave, she strolled to the bedroom to check on him.

He seemed to have sensed her presence immediately when she was inside, he pivoted and smiled lightly when he saw her. Supposedly, he should have frowned for what she did last night but he didn't, not because he didn't want to but because he couldn't after seeing her.

“Good morning.”

“Good morning, Charlene.” Siitting in his wheelchair, he greeted warmly.

As she glanced over the bed, she was remorseful with the thought that he didn't get a wink of sleep last night since she left when he annoyed her and there was no one to help him, he couldn't even eat on his own let alone get himself to the bed.

She walked over, the tray was as she left it so his medicines.
