I spent one more night in the hospital before clearing everything. I had not been looking forward to leaving the hospital now that I knew my dad was kicking me out of his house. I did not regret standing up for myself because I deserved to put him in his place. I just wished he would have given me more time to prepare.

"You know you are staying at my place, right?" Daniel asked as he drove my Mom, sister and I back to our place.

"Only for a few days before I'm able to get my own place." I reminded him. The last thing I wanted was to be like a leech on his back.

"We will talk more about this." He kept his eyes on the road and I would also prefer to talk about it in private.
