Otis’s POV:

Oh no! I almost escaped their sight, if my hair had been left black by the moon goddess, I'm sure I wouldn't have been noticed by the enemies.

“Is my hair a blessing or a curse?” I cried out in my heart.

“You there behind the bushes, come out now!”

"Maybe If I stay still they'll give up and go on their way, besides it's almost dawn,” I thought to myself.

“I said come out this instant!” the voice sounded again, this time coming closer. He came to the side of the bushes and looked down directly at me, I felt a grip on my shoulders as he yanked my hands to pull me out! Looking at this man in front of me, there were scars on his face, one which started from his temple down to his eyebrows cutting across his left eyes.

I could sense his powers but his is from a lower rank than that of the Beta's. He looked down angrily at me like he could fling me across the forest with any slight provocation, I closed my eyes anticipating what is to come.

“You stubborn little brat! How dare you disobey my command!” He roared, sending a resounding slap across my cheeks.

I staggered trying to maintain my balance but my legs gave out as I fell to the ground, my cheeks stinging from the slap he gave me and hot tears falling freely from my eyes.

He pulled me up dragging me across the blood stained battle ground, fresh images from earlier came playing in my mind as a feeling of nostalgia enveloped me.

When we got to the rest of the group, he threw me across the floor as I landed at the foot of the Beta.

“Who do we have here?” he cast a mocking gaze at me.

“I found her hiding behind the bushes, obviously thinking she could outsmart us. Fortunately for us, her white hair gave her away,” the scarred faced man told the Beta. “What do we do with her now?”

“Well, time is not on our side, we'll take her back as a gift to Alpha Damien, she's a pretty one!”

He said, pushing my hair back as he caressed my face. “Bring her along.”

One of the warriors came out and immediately he picked me up, they all transformed back to their wolf form as they started running heading towards the east of the forest.

The werewolf who picked me up was running inline with the pace of the other warriors but something about the way ur held me made me feel so safe and secured. My body brushed the trees and my head went up and down continuously. I soon felt dizzy and didn't know when I lost consciousness.

***** *****

I slowly opened my eyes as the rising sun already brought life to the forest and I couldn't feel the galloping movement of the warriors anymore, they slowed down their pace as the synergy were gradually changing, my body once again came alive in this beautiful forest, the colorful birds and flowers, the scent of nature awakening my senses, I could feel my pupils dilate as I marvel at this wonderful sight, too bad it wasn't for me to enjoy as I was now a captive in the mercy of these mysterious werewolves and I didn't know what awaits me.

I'm thankful the warriors decided to slow down their pace. At least I have a chance of appreciating nature once more.

We passed by a bed of gloomy flowers that bloomed once my fingertips came in contact with them. This is my gift from the moon goddess, the gift of Life!.

I felt the morning breeze on my neck as the warrior released his firm grip on me. I shifted my neck to look at his face, our eyes met as he smiled at me, his blue eyes emitting nothing but kindness.

“What's wrong with him?” I thought to myself. “ I'm not about to smile at someone who's holding me captive.”

“I'm only carrying out orders,” he whispered to me as if he could read my thoughts.

“I'm not talking to someone who contributed in attacking my pack!” I needed not to say much as I sensed he could read my eyes.

The trees soon gave way to a giant iron gate as the people gathered around to welcome their warriors, I could sense curiosity from them with their gaze piercing into my soul.

“Who's the white haired lady?” One of the women whispered to another who stood near her.

“Her eyes are green, maybe she's from another specie!” another said. I could hear everything they were saying, word for word thanks to my super hearing ability.

I bowed my head to hide my eyes from them but I could do nothing to hide my hair.

This pack surpassed my pack in many ways, by number, by size, their buildings are massive and they seem to be of higher intelligence.

We passed by their training ground, the building there was five times the size of ours, their training equipments were of high standards.

If I couldn't fit in then at the Rogues pack, I have no chance of fitting in here. Suddenly I felt chills and goosebumps grow on my skin, someone was watching me. Well, everyone's eyes were on me but this one is different.

I raised my head up and twisted my neck sideways in search of this mystery person but I could only meet more curious eyes, I sensed it again, this time it was coming from the training building.

I caught it! A pair of gold colored eyes fixated on me. My body twitched as I squinted my eyes trying to make out the face of this mystery man, he seemed to care less as he turned his face to continue his training.

We passed the training ground and now gradually approached another building, this one's bigger than the rest with ancient designs imprinted on the walls making it stand out amongst all buildings and I knew at once that this would be the residence of the Alpha.

The warriors were welcomed by the guards as they gave way for us to proceed inside, I could feel their gaze as they stared intently at me. Once we were inside, my jaw dropped.

I've never seen anything as majestic as this in my entire 17 years on earth. The interior decorations were given ancient designs with a touch of class.

“Welcome my noble warriors!” a voice rang out from the dining area.

“Long live Luna Morgana!” the warriors chanted at once.

“Luna Morgana?” I turned my head to look at this woman who seemed to be the commanding voice around here, possessing the structure and stance like that of a female warrior, her short blonde hair resting at the base of her back, her deep blue eyes seemed to have some sparks of fire in them and a dangerous aura surrounded her.

Just then a man who seemed to be in his early twenties came out, his dark brown hair complementing his light skin, his blue eyes held no authority as his aura appeared weak.

“Who could this man be?”

Otis' POV: “I propose a duel… A swordfight to determine the winner, the loser has to forfeit the throne and the winner gets to become Alpha.” Damien suggested to the crowd and to Roshan, a loud uproar came from the crowd showing their approval of the suggestion. The plan was about to kick in, just one touch of the poisoned sword and the rest would be history. The two men put on their armor and they were led to the ring by the battle officiator, Damien immediately cut in front of Roshan as he rushed to the sword rack to pick the sword in the left rack… the plan instantly set into motion. Roshan looked at me from the ring, though I couldn't hear what he said but his facial expression says it all. “Just hang in there a little, this will all be over very soon.” I felt I heard him say. “For the realm, for justice… draw steel!” The battle officiator's voice shut through the crowd and the fight began. They both unsheathed their swords as it glistened when touched by the sword,

Roshan's POV: Everyone's eyes were widened in anticipation awaiting the opening of the chest to reveal the crescent jewel but I knew it wouldn't work. I stared closely at Nafia from time to time, seeing the expression on her face I could tell she wasn't the least interested in what was happening before her, instead her eyes wandered in the crowd, I knew I was the one she was searching for. The blood began to drop on the lock of the chest and at this point, I also anticipated what would happen next. Time seemed to pass by slowly at the moment and I was already running out of patience. Everyone's gaze was now on the chest, expecting it to open but to their surprise, it didn't. This was the perfect time for me to reveal myself to my Pack and redeem my people from the hold of Luna Morgana and her son. I immediately left where I was standing to go stand in the middle of the field. I could hear murmurs erupting from the crowd and I knew I was the reason for such uproar. I could

Otis' POV: I couldn't sleep because of the pain in my arm. Now I understood where the pains went. I laid on the ground facing the other side pretending to be asleep so he wouldn't know that I was hurting. It took a while for the pain to die down. When the pain was completely gone, I took a deep breath, finally relaxing. Now I tried to sleep, but the ground was cold and I felt like I was breathing in dust, but it didn't seem as terrible as the first time I was here, at least I have Adrian with me. Turning around I found Adrian sleeping with no problem, I was glad my powers did help him as I couldn't live with the fact that I was the reason he got injured. My mind immediately drifted to Roshan, what would he be doing at this moment? Would he be laying in the forest unaware of the situation on ground now? Did he know I had been put in the dungeon?... I don't know why but I wasn't worried about being in here as I had the hope that Roshan would surely come to my rescue. With that

  • Hexed Luna    Chapter 47

Otis' POV: This man's name was Boaz. The crowd cheered his name as the fight started, but once he missed a strike, the chanting lessened and when he missed three strikes; it became quiet. It looked like he never missed before, but I was smaller and quicker than him. I easily stepped away from each strike with little effort thanks to my enhanced dodging skills. Boaz frowned, his face hardened. He tightened his grip on the sword and made himself ready to attack, this time showing no mercy. But he still could not even hit me once. Adrian knew I was provoking him on purpose. Warming him up while entertaining the crowd. I felt like I could easily finish him, but there was no fun in that. I looked up to see where Damien sat. He tried to remain calm, but I could see the worry in his eyes, he should not have bargained with a fight. When Boaz became a little tired, I began my attack. My sword hit his shield with such force that he stumbled a few steps back. Gasps came from the cro

  • Hexed Luna    Chapter 46

Otis' POV: I slowly snuck out of the villa’s premises, trying to recollect the route to Roshan's house, the moon was already out in the sky and I was leaving the villa, more people were trooping in for the feast, the training ground building stood before me and I stood still trying to figure out what route to follow. I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings as many unfamiliar faces surrounded me, all rushing off to the feast. Suddenly, two giant hands grabbed my arms on both sides. What is happening? I looked around confused only to find Alpha Damien's guards had already surrounded me. “Let go of me! Why are you taking me?” I got no reply as they dragged me with little effort back to the villa. Why is this happening now? I needed to get across to Roshan… What games does Damien want to play now? Instead of taking me to the villa, they brought me directly to where the feast was being held. When we arrived at the field, I was surprised at the amount of people who turned up

  • Hexed Luna    Chapter 45

Otis' POV: It was the eve of the coronation night and Alpha Damien had declared a feast for all the pack members to be held in the same spot where the coronation would be held. It had been a long tiring day as I felt like I had been given the most strenuous tasks. Madam Kalliope had been too busy in the kitchen so she couldn't come to my rescue. I was single handedly left to clean the west wing of the villa alone, I had been upset that I wasn't given the same duties as Ylva and Lydia as they were walking out on the field preparing for the feast. “The coronation is tomorrow mom, we're running out of time!” I heard a sudden raised voice from one of the rooms. The voice was so familiar that I knew at a shot that it was Damien, but what could he be doing here? I walked in closer to the room where I heard his voice from. It wasn't my intention to eavesdrop but my curiosity was like a siren's call pulling me towards the room. “Why don't we just send the guards to capture him
