“H-How can you do this to me?!” Camilla’s voice shook as she stepped back. Her whole body felt frozen, like she had walked into a nightmare that wouldn’t end.

Leandro didn’t flinch. His eyes met hers coldly like she was already a stranger. 

“Camilla… why are you here?” he asked plainly. The shock few seconds ago now completely gone.

“You bastard! You are fucking cheating and the first thing you ask me why I am here? Why? You dont want me to be here so I wouldnt know your cheating?!”

Leandro massaged the bridge of his nose like Camilla is stressing him out.

“Well now you saw it. Might as well end it here. Our marriage… it’s done. I’ve moved on.”

Her chest tightened. “Moved on? You… you mean… you’ve already—”

“Yes,” he interrupted, like it was the simplest fact in the world. “I can’t pretend I feel the same way I once did. I tried but I’m done. That’s it.”

Camilla felt her stomach drop. 

“D-Done?” she whispered as her voice cracked. “After everything… none of it mattered to you?”

He shrugged, as if it were nothing. 

“It mattered to you. Not to me. For Fucks sake you cant even give a child that all wife should! I tried to be with you for as long as I could, but it’s clear it won’t happen. I’ve accepted that. You should too.”

She shook her head, tears threatening to fall. “You… you make it sound so easy. Just… give up on me? On us?”

Bianca was just staring at the both of them now with a sloght smirk on her face but Camilla didnt mind her.

“I gave up on us a long time ago. I just waited for the right moment to tell you. I can’t do it anymore, Camilla. I’m done pretending.”

“Done pretending?” Her voice rose, trembling with anger and disbelief. “So that’s it? You’ve been lying, acting like everything’s fine while… while you’ve already let someone else take my place?”

He didn’t flinch.

Camilla’s hands curled into fists at her sides. “You… you could’ve fought for me. You could’ve tried. Even now, you could…”

Leandro shook his head. “No. I can’t. I won’t. I will send you the divorce papers as soon as possible and sign it so we can end this marriage. I will marry Bianca.”

Bianca was shock to hear her name but she smiled and leaned towards Leandro.

Camilla’s vision blurred with tears, and she struggled to catch her breath. 

“Do you even feel anything? Any… regret? Any… sorrow for breaking me like this?”

“Why should I?” he said flatly. “I can’t force myself to feel what isn’t there. I can’t love you anymore. You can blame me, hate me, cry all you want, it changes nothing. I’ve made my choice. And so should you.”

Camilla pressed her hand against her chest, trying to calm the panic rising in her throat. 

“I… I thought… I thought you loved me. I thought we were building a life together..”

“I loved who I thought you were. But love isn’t enough. I wanted a family, and that didn’t happen. You were never enough to give me what I wanted.. You’re not what I need anymore. That’s all. You should accept it. Save yourself the humiliation of hoping for something that won’t happen.”

Camilla swallowed hard, heart pounding in her chest. The world felt like it was tilting. 

Everything they shared…they were meaningless to him.

Her hands shook as she pressed them against her stomach, feeling the small, secret life growing inside her. 

He would never know. She wouldn’t let him. Not now, not ever. 

She took a shaky breath, trying to calm herself.

“I… I’ll leave,” she said softly, her voice barely audible. “You won’t have to see me anymore.”

Leandro’s expression didn’t change. “Good. That’s best for both of us. Go and Move on. ”

Camilla nodded, unable to speak further. She turned and walked toward the door, each step heavy with heartbreak, humiliation, and disbelief. 

Her vision blurred, but she forced herself forward. She can even hear the employees murmuring while looking at her cryingx

Once she was outside, she leaned against the wall, trying to steady her breathing. She felt like she was trapped in her own private hell.

She closed her eyes and imagined the tiny heart beating inside her. The IVF had worked. Despite everything, she was pregnant. 

She held that secret like a lifeline.

“ I love you already, my child. I’ll be here for you. I’ll keep you safe. Always.” she murmured softly, caressing the slight curve of her belly. 

Camilla took a deep, shaky breath, feeling the tears slide down her cheeks. 

She wanted to scream, to cry, to let the world know the pain she carried. 

But she couldn’t. Not while she carried this tiny, perfect life inside her.

“I’ll be okay,” she whispered again. “We’ll be okay. I promise.”

She straightened, her back stiffening as though drawing strength from the secret she protected. Her steps were slow but determined as she walked away from the building, away from the betrayal, away from the man who had broken her heart.

She would not let Leandro’s cruelty touch this life. She would raise this child, protect it, and make sure that one day, it would know love—real love—because she would give it.
