It has been ten years since I last saw Christian Martin. Ten years of no calls, messages or visits. Ten years of being absent on every birthday, school activitiy and holiday. Ten years of watching my mom break down and lose hope each passing day as she waited for him to return.

It was weird seeing him here tonight. The face that I could vaguely remember was now vivid and I didn't know what to do. Many thoughts swirled about in my mind as the hours flew by and sleep didn't have the chance to linger.

My head was pounding while I struggled to put my heart together. I wish his face would completely vanish from my memory, maybe then today wouldn't have been so painful.
