"I want to go straight to bed," Jamie said as we entered his house. "I'm exhausted."

"I bet you are, but you have to have dinner first."

"I'm not hungry."

"What do you mean you're not hungry?" Kate asked as she walked out of the kitchen. "The girls and I have just finished adding some extras to the pizza that we ordered."

"I didn't expect you guys to arrive earlier than us," I said to Kate and glanced at the large red stain on her shirt. "Were you cooking or commiting a murder?"

"I didn't carry the gravy properly so, some spelt on me. Nevertheless, there is still enough for everyone."

"Thanks," Jamie said before entering the kitchen.

"How are they?" I asked Kate.

"They have stopped crying and they didn't argue while we were cooking so, they must be feeling better." She sighed. "I know that everyone has their own share of hardships to go through but isn't this too much?"

"It's overwhelming."

"And we aren't even in their shoes." She looked thoughtful for a moment before asking.
