|| Lilac's POV ||

Alaric’s eyes flashed with something primal, his lips crashing onto mine in a kiss that was fierce and hungry. His hands slid down to my waist, pulling me closer as his mouth moved against mine with a desperation that left me breathless. The taste of him was intoxicating, a mix of whiskey and something uniquely Alaric that made my head spin.

His hands roamed over my body, his touch sending shivers of pleasure through me. He pulled me even closer, our bodies pressed together in a way that left no space between us. The heat of his skin against mine was almost unbearable, the friction of our movements igniting a fire that threatened to consume us both.

I tugged at his shirt, my fingers fumbling with the buttons as I tried to undress him. Alaric chuckled, the sound low and rich as he pulled back slightly, his hands covering mine.

“Let me,” he said, his voice a soft command.

    || Lilac's POV ||The first thing I noticed when I woke up was the pounding in my head. It felt like a pack of wolves had decided to throw a rave inside my skull, complete with strobe lights and a bass-heavy soundtrack. Every dull throb was a reminder that last night had been a very bad idea. I groaned, squeezing my eyes shut as I tried to block out the cruel assault of sunlight sneaking through the cracks in the curtains.The second thing I noticed was the warmth.Not the cozy, blanket-wrapped kind of warmth, but the solid, muscular, very much alive kind. An arm, a very male, very strong arm, was draped over my waist, holding me in place as if I belonged there. My heart stuttered. A slow, steady breath tickled the back of my neck, and the familiar scent of pinewoods filled my senses, rich and intoxicating. My stomach did an uncomfortable flip.Oh. No.My eyes flew open, and I froze.Alaric.He was still as

    || Lilac's POV ||I glanced back at Alaric, who was still asleep, his chest rising and falling in a steady rhythm. Part of me wanted to stay, to curl back up against him and forget about the world for a little while longer. But the rational part of my brain knew that I needed to leave. Things were complicated enough without adding this to the mix.I slipped out of bed, my movements slow and careful as I gathered my clothes from the floor. My dress was crumpled, and my shoes were nowhere to be found, but I managed to piece together something resembling an outfit. I cast one last glance at Alaric, my heart doing a weird little flip as I took in the sight of him. This is going to be a problem, I thought, shaking my head as I tiptoed out of the room.The cool morning air hit me like a slap in the face as I stepped outside, the crisp breeze doing little to ease the pounding in my head. The parking lot was mostly empty, the faint hum of the city in the distance the on

    || Lilac's POV ||The day had been long, too long. My body felt heavy, my mind a tangled mess of emotions I couldn’t quite unravel. I skipped dinner, unable to stomach the thought of food, and retreated to my room, collapsing onto the bed with a sigh. The cool sheets were a welcome relief against my skin, but they did little to ease the storm raging inside me.Mom had knocked on my door multiple times, her voice soft and concerned.“Sweetpea, are you okay? Do you need anything?” she’d asked, her worry evident in every word. I’d assured her I was fine, but the truth was, I wasn’t. I wasn’t okay at all.How could I be? Last night with Alaric had been… beyond anything I’d ever experienced. The way he’d looked at me, the way he’d touched me, the way he’d made me feel, it was overwhelming. My cheeks burned at the memory, my heart racing as I replayed every moment in my mind.His hands on my skin, rough yet tender, sending shivers of electricity through

    || Lilac’s POV ||"Alaric," I whispered, my voice trembling as he closed the distance between us.His hands came up, caging me in, his palms resting against the wall on either side of my head. The space between us was nonexistent. His warmth pressed against me, his scent of pine and stormy air wrapping around me like a net.“Oh, so you still know me,” he murmured, his voice a blade edged with something I couldn’t name, pain, possession, fury.Guilt curled in my stomach like a fist.I swallowed hard, my mind racing as I searched for words, any words, to explain. “It’s… not like that,” I mumbled, but even to my own ears, it sounded like a lie.His lips twisted into something that wasn’t quite a smirk. “Not like what, Lilac?” he asked, his tone deceptively soft, but the anger simmering beneath it sent a fresh wave of heat down my spine.I opened my mouth, but he cut me off.“How dare you leave my side without a word?” he said, his

    || Lilac's POV ||The engagement was broken, but the weight of it still clung to me like a shadow I couldn’t shake. I sat on the edge of my bed, my mind a whirlwind of thoughts. I should have felt relief, freedom, but instead, I felt uneasy. So much had changed, and yet, so much remained the same.My wolfwas still faint, her presence a whisper in the back of my mind. It was dangerous, if Kael or anyone else found out about my weakened state, I’d be vulnerable. And then there was Alaric. In my past life, I hadn’t met him until long after I’d mated with Kael. But this time, he was always there, a constant presence that both comforted and unnerved me. Even thinking about his name made my heart beat faster, a flutter of something I couldn’t quite name.I sighed, running a hand through my hair as I tried to push the thoughts away. My phone buzzed on the nightstand, pulling me from my spiraling thoughts. I glanced at the screen, and my stomach dropped. Kae

    || Lilac's POV ||For a fleeting moment, I had believed I was living in that fairy tale.Kael had stood before me, a vision of power and devotion, his golden eyes filled with something I had foolishly thought was love. His voice had been steady as he vowed to cherish me forever, his hands warm as they cradled mine. I had let myself be swept away, believing that this moment, this love, was mine to keep.But then she had arrived.Coco.Her presence was like a storm cloud blotting out the sun, an omen of something dark lurking beneath the surface of my perfect day. She moved through the crowd with quiet confidence, her delicate frame wrapped in a soft peach dress that made her look even more innocent, more fragile. But I knew better. || Lilac’s POV ||The peach dress looked good—I’d give myself that much. Soft fabric, delicate embroidery, the kind of understated elegance that screamed "I didn’t try too hard" even though I’d spent an hour agonizing over it. The pearls were a nice touch—classic, regal. A Luna’s signature.Too bad I wasn’t a Luna anymore. Which is ironic considering I wasn't anymore.I tugged at the straps, my reflection staring back with a frown. • His Abandoned Luna   97. Eclipse of Fate-I

    || Lilac's POV ||After changing into the dress Alexander had provided, I stepped out of the room to find him leaning casually against the wall, his arms crossed over his chest. His sharp features were softened by the dim light of the corridor, and his blue eyes lit up as they landed on me. He straightened, his gaze sweeping over me with an appreciative smile.“You look beautiful,” he said, his voice sincere and warm, sending a faint blush to my cheeks.“Thank you,” I replied, my voice barely above a whisper. The dress was simple but elegant, the deep blue fabric hugging my frame perfectly. It was a stark contrast to the cocktail-soaked gown I had been wearing moments ago, and I felt a small surge of gratitude toward Alexander for his thoughtfulness.We began walking back toward the ballroom, the silence between us comfortable but charged with unspoken words. The corridor was quiet, the distant hum of the party fading into the background. My mind was stil

  • His Abandoned Luna   96. Eclipse Ball-II

    || Lilac’s POV ||We stepped out of the grand hall and into a long, dimly lit corridor, the heavy wooden door closing behind us with a soft thud that echoed through the stillness. The corridor stretched before us, its walls adorned with tapestries that seemed to breathe with the history of the pack. Each woven thread told a story, of fierce battles fought under blood-red moons, of alliances forged in fire and sealed with unbreakable bonds. The intricate designs seemed to shimmer in the stealth lights that lined the walls, their golden hues casting long, dancing shadows across the polished stone floor.As we walked, my mind drifted to Alaric’s pack, the Blood Moon Pack, and the way it seemed to pulse with life and energy. There, the houses were not just structures but extensions of the forest itself, their wooden frames entwined with ivy and moss, as if the earth had embraced them and made them its own. The air there was always fresh, carrying the scent of pine needles

I couldn’t afford to let my emotions take over— not now, not when so much was at stake. But the ache in my chest was relentless, a constant reminder of the bond I was trying so hard to deny. As I moved through the grand hall, my eyes scanned the room, searching for Alexander. The Eclipse Ball was in full swing, the air filled with the hum of conversation and the clinking of glasses. The room was a sea of masks and gowns, the flickering candlelight casting a warm glow over the opulent decor. But amidst the glittering crowd, one figure caught my attention, and my breath hitched. Kael. He stood near the far wall, his tall frame commanding attention even in a room full of alphas. Beside him was Astrid Moonvale, her delicate features framed by her

The dress my mom had chosen was stunning— a deep wine red that brought out the gold in my eyes, the fabric hugging my curves in all the right places. My hair was styled in loose curls, and my makeup was subtle but elegant. I looked like a queen, but I didn’t feel like one. My heart was heavy, my mind a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions. I had spent the past few days preparing for this night, but now that it was here, I felt unprepared. The thought of seeing Alaric again, of facing him after everything that had happened, made my chest ache. But I couldn’t let my feelings get in the way. Not tonight. I took a deep breath, smoothing down the fabric of my dress, and turned to leave the room. My parents were waiting for me downstairs, their expressions filled with pride and excitement. “You look beautiful, sweetpea,” Mom said, her eyes shining with t

    || Lilac's POV || The days passed in a blur, each one heavier than the last. I stayed in my room, the curtains drawn, the world outside feeling distant and unimportant. But the Moon Goddess’s vision loomed over me, a constant reminder of the stakes. If I didn’t find my mate, everyone I loved would suffer. My parents, Ezra, Elara… and Alaric. The thought was unbearable, but so was the idea of defying fate. I sat on the edge of my bed, staring at the floor, when the door creaked open. My mom stepped in, her presence warm and comforting. She carried a tray of snacks, the scent of freshly baked cookies filling the room. “Hey, sweetpea,” she said, her voice soft and filled with concern. “I brought you some snacks.” I forced a smile, though it felt brittle on my lips. “Thanks, Mom.”

  • His Abandoned Luna   89. Game of Shadows-I

    || Kael’s POV || The heavy oak doors of the study creaked open as I stepped inside, the scent of aged wood and leather filling my nostrils. My father sat behind his desk, his expression dark and unreadable, while my mother stood by the window, her arms crossed tightly over her chest. The tension in the room was palpable, a thick fog of disappointment and frustration that made it hard to breathe. “Where have you been?” My father’s voice was low, edged with barely restrained anger, but it was his eyes that made my blood run cold. They bore into me, sharp and accusing, as if he already knew the answer but wanted the satisfaction of hearing me admit it. I didn’t flinch under his scrutiny, but my pulse pounded in my ears. My mind raced for an excuse, something that wouldn’t set him off even more. “I was busy,” I said finally, keeping my voice even, though the lie sat heavy on my tongue. His lips curled in displeasure. “Busy doing what?” Before I could r
