LOGINIsabelle I grab Logan's hand under the table as I continue to take to the girls at the breakfast table. His hand is closing around mine briefly before having me rest my hand on his theigh while he plates our breakfast, passing sides and entrée around the table, family style. He slides my plate closer to me, and I lean down to take a bite. Listening to the others talk and catch up as I eat. I feel Aspen creeping in the back of my mind. 'Hi Aspen.' I say to him calmly, he acts as if I jumped him. 'Isabelle, I wasn't expecting you to be so atuned. I'm just doing what Logan asked. Don't mind me.' He bows his head at me. I take time to his admire his wolf, his bold and big like I'd imagine he would be. I smile and continue to eat as if nothing was happening in my mind right now. 'And what was it that Logan asked of you?' I go up to him and get closer. I feel his wolf enjoy this interaction, probably more than he should. 'I like you,' he snout brushed through my hair, even thoug
Logan I woke up to an empty bed, I immediately shot out of bed and used my mindlink to try to look for Isabelle. I sense her frustration. I quickly leave and grab a shirt, putting it on as I walk out the door. I start down the stairs quickly. "Alpha," Anna jumps as I brush past her. "Luna wanted me to inform you that she is in Luna's garden. Shall I bring you both breakfast?" "Thank you, Anna," I say cordially and brush past her to head to the garden. Not full answering her question. When I get through the door, I see Isabelle staring down at her relfection. I can feel her anger and Willow's resitance. Even Aspen is alert, trying to help me gauge the situation before we head into it. "Isabelle?" I call to her hesitantly, and she turns to me in tears. I look at her fully, her dark aburn girls in a messy bun on her head, the green sun dress making her look innocently lethal. The sheer beauty of her without her even trying, even as her forrest green eyes are magnified by her tears.
Isabelle "I love you, belle." He whispers to me, brushing strands of hair out of my face. My breath catches as he searches my eyes. I'm trying to gauge my response. I look at him for a very long time before I speak. "My Mom used to call me that." I whisper softly, 'it's french for beautiful." "I know," he whispers, matching my level as I try to process what's happening. "Willow told you?" I look down at my hands. "Willow told me." He confrimed, "when she came to check on Aspen, they are both itching for a run. But waiting to make sure you are capable of something like that first." I nod my head in response. "I don't know how to feel about this." I tell him as I start to pick at my fingernails, the anxiety of being unsure making me uncomfotable to the point where I bring my hands to my mouth to start chewing my nails. Logan gently grabs my hands and pulls them away from my mouth, and keeps them in his. "You don't have to know how you feel about it right now, Belle. Y
Logan I helped her walk to the kitchen, gently holding her waist and her arm. My nose brushes into her hair, and I feel her sigh contently under my touch. Lidsney comes in right as I get Isabelle settled at the stool on the island. "Hey guys." She says to both of us, bringing in her medical bag. "How are you feeling, Iz?" I raise my eyebrows, but Isabelle waves me off. "A little hungry but overall okay, just tired." Isabelle replies simply. "That sounds about right, giving everything you've been through." Lidsney takes out her blood preassure cuff as she talks and starts checking Isabelle's vitals. "Have you heard from your wolf?" "Yes, but she's been queit. She does this when there's a problem to be solved. She checks in every now and then, to ask a question, check something, or..." Isabelle's coughs and looks up at me, then down at her hands and starts blushing. "to peek in on Logan's wolf." Her voice drops to a whisper, but I smile, and I feel Aspen pur a little. I turn
Isabelle I gasp at what he says. I think it was the first time I had ever really heard it. Besides the fact that he said it while I was in a coma. I kiss him softly. "I love you too." I whisper, I feel him go still underneath me. He kisses me again rougher. I pull myself away and rest my forehead to his. "Logan, I need to tell you something. And it's going to sound crazy." I look at him for reassurance. "Crazy or not, we are in this together." He looks at me and touches my face. He helps me up from the bathroom and guides me to the bed. He sits next to me softly and reaches for my pajamas. "What is it, Iz?" "I saw Mom, and we talked about everything. And she said something to me that I can't seem to understand." I look at him puzzled. He looks back at me with furrowed brows, confused as well. "She said, 'Please try to remember the day I died. It'll be your most valuable weapon.' What does that even mean?" I look at him. "Well, do you remember what happened?" He asks me, I
Logan Isabelle, touching my face in the shower and breathing me in, cracks something open in my chest. I press my forehead to hers, equally breathing her in. Lavender and vanilla flood my senses as I feel the tears sting behind my eyes. "Shh, handsome." She kisses my cheek. "It's okay, I'm home now." She brushes her nose against mine. "I never left your side. Not once." I whisper to her, tears and the shower spray covering my face. "I know, handsome. I heard you." She replies, and it makes my breath catch. "You heard me?" I ask, shaking. She just nods her head and kisses me again. Her lips warm and plush against mine, its almost intoxicating. "We need to be careful, beautiful." I warn her. "You're not cleared for that kind of activity." "Doesn't mean I can't kiss my husband and my mate. Show him my love." She whispers against my lips with a smile. But I freeze underneath her touch. "You're what?" I croak. She leans back with furrowed eye brows and tilts her head in confusio
Isabelle "He doesn't deserve that title." He told me through gritted teeth, his tone disapporving. "And you do?" I asked me, very asertively. Trying to remain calm as the argument started to upset me. "What is that supposed to mean?" He asked me in a smaller quiter tone. "It means the ti
Logan "Please, baby girl, please come back to me." I leaned down into Isabelle's ear. I whispered my plea into her ear, praying she would hear me. "Please don't go. I still need you." I begged, "please, I love you." Isabelle has been in a coma for at least two days, and I haven't left her side.
Isabelle "Now you think it's time we talk?" I question her and roll my eyes. I loved and missed my mum crazily, but this was getting ridiculous. "I understand you're frustrated," she began, but I cut her off. "Frustrated? No, I was frustrated last week when this shit show started. I am beyo
Logan I sat there in the waiting room for what felt like an enternity. Anna came in with some snacks and looked around the room. She very sheepishly walked up to me. Knealing down in front of me, her voice barely above a whisper. "Sir?" Anna spoke. "Has Luna come and found you yet?" She was ver
