After thanking the guard, she shifted her gaze to the sacred building of church. 

Today was a special day. A year ago on this very day, she had a taste of bitter venom called guilt. Guilt is a heavy emotion. It weighs the bearer down. Like a barbed wire, it constricts one's heart, mercilessly biting and splitting it. The victim can't do anything but endure. Angela was enduring the pain for the last one year. On this day, she had lost her baby because of her recklessness. 

She had come to the church to pray for her lost child and for seeking forgiveness. If only she had been more careful. She should have listened and waited for Carla instead of strolling into the wet bathroom on her own. One slip and her life changed. The pain was nothing compared to the fear that had consumed her when she landed on her stomach.
