Her arm was too chilly for Darell to compare.

To get her attention, he gave her a gentle shake, but she continued to focus on his fingers instead of him.

In addition to inheriting her supernatural ancestor's purple lips, he could tell by the slight healing of her wounds that she had also gained some of their abilities.

He used his wolf nose to try to determine what branch of the supernatural she belonged to, but all he detected was the scent of a woman.
