LOGINAnna POV
I have your profile pulled up right now. Tell me a little bit about yourself." He said officially. "Uhh, well...I'm sorry, I wasn't anticipating this." I chuckle uncomfortably. This is pretty basically an interview. "Okay, I understand. I simply want to go over certain things with several of the females before selecting one. Let me start by telling you a little bit about what's going on right now. My kid, Ethan, is twenty-three and extremely successful. But, lately, he broke up with his girlfriend of two years after discovering that she cheated on him. His mother and I are scared he has poor self-worth, and I'm afraid it may interfere with his professional life. I want to set him up on some dates and see where it leads him. As far as money goes, you will be paid every two weeks and it will continue for as long as your connection is alive. Payments will cease when there is a mutual split, or whenever you feel the need to pull out." He explained. Well, this makes sense as to why he is single. Kind of. He is simply hurt. I understand it. I'm sure he isn't aware that his father has published a post, practically paying ladies to be in a relationship with him. "How much will the payment be?" I ask gently. "I was thinking about $700 every two weeks. But, it is only if I see dates occurring, and know you aren't simply going on a couple of dates and never talking to him. It ought to be a connection. Talk to him, date him, persuade him this is all true. After a time, if the two of you split up, then that's alright. I need him to get back to his former self again. Just persuade him that this is true. If you are interested, that is." I practically fell out of my seat at the price. "I'm interested," I say quickly. "Uhh, about me," I mumble. I have no idea what I should and should not tell him. "Don't worry. All of this remains between us." He assures me. "Okay, well...I'm now in school as a business major. I am twenty years old, and I work in a restaurant in town. I live at home with my father and my younger sister, Phoebe. My sister is my whole universe. She is just four, and I'm largely responsible for her. I want to remain in school if possible, but it's incredibly hard right now owing to my father being jobless. I'm searching for more money so I can care for Phoebe and pay for all of the books throughout this semester." I say, trying to seem as confident as I possibly can be. "Is your mother around?" Anna asks. My heart hurts at the thought of my mother. "She went away two years ago. She had cancer." I said gently. "I'm extremely sorry to hear that, Anna. As for everything else, I simply want to say that I wholeheartedly support your decision to continue in school. I realise that with kids, it may be challenging. Very challenging. I respect you for taking on both tasks. If everything works out moving ahead, I would like to support you with your school supplies. Those darn school books cost an arm and a leg. So, we will come in an accord as far as the money goes. As for the agreement with my son, I would like you two to meet." He informs me. Tears begin to form and I don't even bother to suppress them. "Thank you so much." I weep gently. "I will be throwing a cookout soon and would like for you to come. This way, I can introduce the two of you. Then, we can take it from there. I'll send you an email with further details. How does it sound?" He asks. "That sounds amazing. Thank you very much!" I say one again. I feel like I just was offered a job I had been waiting on for so long. This is something I never believed would happen. All the stress of a job and money won't be a worry anymore. I can maintain my employment, put it towards my monthly bills, and use the cash from Dane to fall back on if required. This is wonderful. I think Sara was correct. This webpage is going to assist me after all. When I go to work the following day, Sara is at the door to welcome me as usual. As much as I don't want to work today, I know that I have to. "Good morning, Love." I grin, welcoming Sara the same way I usually do. "Morning. Are you ready to work for the next eight hours?" She laughs cynically. "Ecstatic." I grin broadly. Sarcastically, of course. With today being a Monday, the probability of the diner being crowded is low to none. On this particular day, Sara and I will more than likely only serve approximately five individuals the whole day. The weather is great, so everyone is either out of town for whatever reason or enjoying a BBQ at home. The weather has been beautiful, however. So, I don't blame them. I would have a cookout too if given the chance. Just like the one Dane experiencing tonight. I don't want to be worried for tonight, but I am freaking the heck out. This person who I'm going to be dating will transform my life. Not emotionally, of course. I simply need the money. I need this more than anything right now. I wish I could be at home right now getting preparations, but of course, I will be at work an hour before the barbecue.Anna POVI reach back and palm him through his boxers. Slipping my hand down the fabric, I grab his length and begin to pump him slowly."Fuck, I'm going to come if you continue to do that." He shudders. "Do you have a condom?" I ask, still sucking on the skin of his neck. I'm going to leave a mark, I'm sure. I want everyone to see it. I want Haley to fucking see it. I want everyone to see the mark I'm leaving and know that he is mine. No one else can have him. He freezes under me. "Fuck...no." He says, pulling away to look at me. "I think I might have one in my purse," I admit, reaching over onto the side table and searching through the bag. I can feel him holding his breath as I search, not wanting to disappoint him and myself by not finding one. I feel the cool foil against my fingertips and quickly pull it out and toss my purse onto the floor. "Found one," I say, holding it up with a smirk. "Should I even ask why you have a condom in your purse?" he chuckles. "For moments l
Anna POV"I'm going to get my phone back eventually, and I will see these pictures!" I yell, shrieking when he reaches over with his other hand and tries to tickle me to stop me from reaching for my phone. "Stop!" I scream with a laugh. "Nope! Not until you tell me that you won't try and find my high school pictures!" He laughs, moving us so that he is hovering over us and continuing his tickling assault."I just want to see them!" I laugh."I am going to continue to tickle you, then!" He laughs in reply, tickling me even harder.I try to wiggle away from him and end up pulling the both of us off of the couch and onto the floor, his body now on top of mine, and my phone is thrown across the room."Did you just throw my phone across the room?" I exclaimed, amused by the shock covering my face."Yes." He laughs, not moving from his spot."Was it that big of a deal?" I giggle."Again, yes. Absolutely." We stay in our spot for a few seconds, just looking at each other. He's so...perfect
Anna POV"Nope!" she says, jumping out of her seat and running towards the door."Be careful! I love you!" "I love you too! Bye, Eth!" She waves as she leaves the house. I go to the front door and watch her happily run over to Natasha's van. Despite the joy I feel knowing that she has friends and that our dad's death isn't affecting her too negatively, I can't help but feel sad knowing that she's growing up. She is going to do this more often as she gets older, and I'm going to be alone in this house more. It's inevitable. "It's good that she is making friends. I'm really glad that she's dancing, too. That seems like something that she will be good at," Eth says to me as I walk back into the kitchen. "Yeah, I am too," I mumble, sitting down and taking another bite of my pizza. "Do you want something to drink? I'm thirsty," I say, getting up once again and walking to our refrigerator. "Umm, yeah. I could go for a drink. What do you have?" He asks."Let's see. It looks like we have a
Anna POV"Pizza is fine with me if that's what you want, love," Eth tells her, earning a big smile from Phoebe. We walk to my car in silence for the most part as I mentally prepare myself for what will be the most awkward lunch date in history. "Can we get pepperoni pizza?" Phoebe whispers to me."No. Eth is a vegetarian, remember? Which means, what?" I ask her, trying to remind her once again that he does not eat meat."He doesn't like animals," Phoebe says simply.Eth chuckles at her reply, and I do the same. Phoebe has a way of making things a little less awkward. Thank God.“I love animals. That's why I don't eat them." He laughs, winking at me. I blush at his gesture, even though there was absolutely no romantic gesture behind it."I love animals, too. I want cheese pizza." Phoebe says simply."Baby, just because you eat meat doesn't mean you hate animals. We can get pepperoni pizza. I'll even try a slice." He tells her, knowing that Phoebe doesn't like plain cheese pizza."You
Anna POVOut of all the times that I blamed him for not putting his money into anything, I disregarded the amount of money he was still paying toward her medical expenses. I should have given him more credit. He did deserve it. I'll have to find a steady job so I can keep food on the table and clothes on our backs. I don't even know if I'll have time for school anymore. I want to cry. I want to break down and cry right here, but I can't even find it in myself to do that. I have to stay strong for Phoebe. But who is going to stay strong for me?We were leaving the church when I heard him call my name."Anna! "I turned around to see James jogging towards us. Phoebe gripped my hand softly, and I smiled down at her to the best of my ability. "I just wanted to say that I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." He said, out of breath and staring at me with sad eyes."Thank you, James." I smile at him."Are you going to be okay?""Yeah, I think so," I assure him. I have to be."If you need anything, you'll
Ethan's POV"I should probably go into the other room now." She says, leaning up and uncovering herself from the white comforter."Wait, don't go." "No, this was a bad idea. I should get back into the other room. Phoebe is probably—""Phoebe is fine. She knows where we are. Please, Anna," I beg, sounding like the pathetic fuck that I am."Eth...""Please, Anna. I need you right now. I just...I need you. "I admit to feeling completely fucking defeated. She sighs and moves back into the bed with me. I pull her closer to me by instinct, and she tenses under my touch. I try and ignore it, but it breaks my fucking heart."I know you don't trust me, Anna. I know you might not ever trust me again. But I promise that I will try every day to be the man you thought I was. I fucked up, and I'm sorry," I whisper into her back. She didn't reply, but I didn't expect her to. "Get some sleep. You need it," I told her. Although she never replies to me verbally, she does something better than what I
Anna POVWhen we got home, Ethan made the two of us some hot chocolate and we all watched some Christmas movies. It was only the beginning of November, but all of the Holiday movies were already starting to play. They seem to be starting earlier and earlier each year. I remember when my Mom was ali
Anna POV"Well, not officially. I saw her in the restaurant she works at earlier today. She shouted at me for giving her a tip." He remarked with an entertaining grin. "I didn't yell at you!" I shouted, protecting myself. "Oh, yes you did." He laughed."You know what, whatever." I pouted away fro
Ethan POV"No, I...I want to go. But, only with you. And Phoebe. I will only go if the two of you are there. I don't think I could handle it without you two. Plus, it will be fun. I just have to have you guys there with me." He admits. Hearing him say those words makes my heart flutter. "Really?"
Anna POV"So, Anna. Phoebe. How are you two enjoying the trip so far?" Dane asks as he pours the champagne into our glasses. "This is amazing. Everything so far has been amazing. Thank you so much for allowing us to come along." I thanked him. "Oh, it's no problem. We love having you around." Liz
