"How do you feel?"

Raphaela ran a hand through his hair. He had her caged against the verandah railings, his hands at her sides.
She smiled, tracing every inch of his face.
"I just realized" she said, her voice like music to his ears, "that I never truly realized how much I loved you. There was always so much to consider, so much to think about, so much to fear and I hid all those feelings away so they wouldn't swallow me whole but now..." She placed a kiss on his brows, "it has swallowed me whole and I can't stop it. There's no hiding from it this time...mate."
