Chapter 34: Sport's Day

I was walking down the hallway to exit the school. After lunch, we were told to stay for the sports competition that would happen later at the gymnasium. But I wasn't really feeling the urge to watch since I got so many things to do, and I promised myself to clean my apartment. It wasn't a requirement also, so if I went home, they couldn't do anything about it.

I walked down the staircase outside of the school's entryway and traipsed down the slabbed pathway. The sun hit the surface of my skin with its burning rays, as the heat started to form on my pale complexion. I diverted my way to the other exit beside the main parking lot, so the large hovering trees could cover the sun from striking my skin. Was it preventing me from going home?
